Apply & track with Apply EdgeJOB OBJECTIVE: To provide pragmatic, engineering support for new projects from development to execution stage. Develop innovative & cost effective engineering solutions for district cooling projects .Description Development Support Attends meetings with prospective clients together with Business Development Team. Gathers all relevant data required to develop/conduct technical feasibility studies, develop designs etc.Assists in negotiations and discussions with various parties (clients, contractors, suppliers, regulators, etc).Facilitates commercial arrangements with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.Design Development & Project Execution Develops concept designs independently & develops preliminary technical proposals.Develops detailed designs or liaises with various stakeholders to submit indicative/binding proposals to prospective clientsReviews technical submittals during project execution phase.Develop Employer Requirements and discipline scope of works.Design Development in compliance to local authorities’ codes, standards and regulations.Evaluate Equipment selections, mange tenders process and attain / report based on optimized Life Cycle Cost Analysis.Develops Energy and Water consumption Models for DC plantsAnalyses Hydraulic Modelling and develop reports for optimized solutions.Preparation of District Cooling document for licenses renewalTechnology Evaluation Evaluate relevant technologies available in local & regional markets & apply in District Cooling projects as may be applicableParticipate in discussions with major equipment vendors & keep updated about latest technologies/developments that are relevant for District Cooling applications.Review, keep track of progresses in existing technologies and explore new technologies with the view to give company a competitive edge against competition and better address customers’ requirementsJOB REQUIREMENTS: A.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.Additional qualifications /certification in the field of HVAC, Certified Energy managers (CEM) etc. is desirable. Knowledge & application of relevant engineering software (Hydraulic Modelling, HVAC Load calculation). Knowledge of Excel (advanced), Microsoft word & power point essential.Membership of relevant professional institutes (ASHRAE) desirable.B. Minimum Experience:7 years’ experience in design, development of district cooling, energy related projects
