Senior Mechanical Repair Technician

Paragon Technologies, a SunSource company, specializes in providing world-class service, repair and re-manufacturing in the areas of electronics, hydraulics, robotics, servos and mechanical components for various industries. https://www.paragontech.com/DescriptionThe position will require the ability to trouble shoot and repair all major brands of gearboxes and electric motors.Must be able to work first shift.May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.Job ResponsibilitiesComputer skills required (word, excel, email).Repair all major brands of gearboxes.Able to repair and test electric motors.Able to trouble shoot and properly diagnose failures of electric motor.Able to remove and install bearings.Able to use calibers and micrometersAble to use multimeterAble to visually inspect gears and determine pass/failQualificiationsMust have experience with mechanical equipment/repairs.Must own basic hand tools.Must be well organized and high level of attention to detail.Must have basic understanding of mechanical prints.Valid Driver's License and good driving record required.Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.Root cause analysis training a plus.Overhead crane trainingTravel RequirementsWilling to travel for training outside the state of MichiganWilling to travel to other Paragon branchesPhysical RequirementsRegularly required to stand and walk. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and squat.
