The organization is committed to scientific excellence, operational efficiency, and long-term partnerships that promote better health outcomes.Role Description The Senior Medical Laboratory Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Belgaum. This role involves performing and supervising routine and specialized laboratory tests across disciplines such as biochemistry, hematology, immunology, serology, and clinical pathology. Responsibilities include sample receipt, preparation, and processing; operating and maintaining automated analyzers; monitoring quality controls; and ensuring accurate and timely reporting in accordance with established protocols. The technician will support pathologists by providing high-quality technical data, assist in troubleshooting instruments and assays, and help implement and adhere to quality and safety standards. The role also includes mentoring junior technicians, contributing to continuous process improvement, and collaborating with the technical support and logistics teams to ensure smooth daily operations.Qualifications Strong technical skills in clinical biochemistry, hematology, immunology, and clinical pathology, with experience in routine and specialized testing.Proficiency in operating and maintaining automated laboratory analyzers, along with familiarity with laboratory information systems and digital reporting workflows.Knowledge of quality control, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance standards in diagnostic laboratories.Attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling, test performance, result verification, and documentation.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior laboratory staff.Strong problem-solving skills for instrument troubleshooting, assay optimization, and process improvement.Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field; advanced certifications in laboratory disciplines are an advantage.Prior experience in a high-volume, automated diagnostic laboratory setting, preferably in a senior or lead technician role.Commitment to patient safety, ethical laboratory practices, and continuous professional development.
