Join our family and build an inspired career you’re proud of.Job ContextThe Senior Merchandiser holds the accountability for managing the customer accounts from product development and sampling stage till shipment and payment realization, ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks and timely delivery in collaboration with cross-functional teams.Job ResponsibilitiesLead seasonal product development and customer engagement, working with Design and Product Development teams to understand customer direction, product requirements, yarn qualities, color concepts, and upcoming business opportunities.Manage the end-to-end sampling and approval process, coordinating Proto, Fit, SMS, PP, and Size Set samples with customers, factories, Technical, and Quality teams while proactively addressing development risks.Prepare and negotiate costing and commercial proposals, considering MOQ, yarn and material costs, production requirements, factory costs, customer targets, and ZXY`s margin to secure commercially viable orders.Lead factory selection, capacity planning, and seasonal allocation in collaboration with PPC, evaluating factory capability, capacity, technical expertise, quality performance, and delivery track record against customer requirements.Manage order confirmation and production scheduling, including PO review, sales contract, commercial coordination, factory order placement, ZinfoTrek updates, TNA, ensuring appropriate lead-time buffers are maintained.Oversee bulk yarn, trims, and accessories sourcing, ensuring competitive pricing, approved quality and specifications, timely PO placement, testing, knitting, dyeing, finishing, lab dips, and material in-house timelines.Drive pre-production readiness by ensuring all customer approvals, testing, Size Set and PP samples, production files, and technical requirements are completed and effectively communicated to factories and Quality teams.Monitor and manage production execution and delivery, reviewing TNA, WIP, production status, and exception reports; conducting regular factory follow-ups and coordinating corrective actions to mitigate quality, capacity, and delivery risks.Oversee quality and compliance throughout production, ensuring material inspection, line set, inline, midline, pre-final and final inspections, packing requirements, and customer/nominated third-party inspections are completed as required.Manage shipment and commercial closure, coordinating forwarder bookings, vessel schedules, Ex-Factory timelines, shipment approvals, and required documentation, while ensuring buyer and factory payments are realized within agreed terms.Educational RequirementsGraduate in Apparel Merchandising, Textile Technology or equivalent from a well reputed institutionExperience RequirementsAt least 8 year(s)The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):Garments,Buying HouseAdditional RequirementsStrong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships work as a teamShould be well-groomed, smart and energeticStrong presentation and delivery skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for perfectionExcellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and EnglishProficient with MS Office package (Especially, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work hard efficientlyAbility to multitask and remain organized, meet deadlinesExperience RequirementsAt least 8 years’ merchandising experience in a reputed buying office or factory in SweatersMust have extensive experience of product development, sourcing of materials, costing, production tracking and order executionCandidates should have experience in handling American Retailers and BrandsTechnical Job RequirementsProfound knowledge of Sweater garment engineering and production processes is requiredHave sound knowledge of yarns and an excellent network of yarn, print, embroidery & trims suppliersShould be able to source and develop new products independentlyShould have excellent understanding of Sweater technical / production processShould have a passion for product development, an eye for styles/details and fits.Must be capable to handle buyers independently in tremendous pressure with aggressive marketing attitudeMust have skills in examining and establishing proper merchandising operations and proceduresGood understanding of core business aspectsShould have the ability to effectively communicate for raw materials, booking and delivery
