The company operates production facilities in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and India, supporting its regional and global growth.Role Description The Senior Microbiologist role at Gandour is a full-time, on-site position based in Jeddah. This role involves planning, executing, and overseeing microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure safety and compliance with internal and external standards. The Senior Microbiologist will supervise routine laboratory activities, validate and maintain microbiological methods, calibrate and monitor laboratory equipment, and ensure adherence to good laboratory practices. The role includes collaborating closely with quality assurance and production teams to investigate non-conformities, support root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions. The Senior Microbiologist will also prepare technical reports, maintain accurate documentation, contribute to audits and certifications, and provide guidance and training to laboratory staff to continuously improve microbiological and quality control processes.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology.Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in food/FMCG manufacturing.Strong expertise in microbiological testing, laboratory techniques, and result interpretation.Solid knowledge of food safety and quality systems, including HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards.Experience in investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions related to microbiological issues.Ability to review microbiological results, ensure compliance, and support product safety decisions.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
