Apply & track with Apply Edgeobile App Developer will design, develop, and maintain mobile applications that support UCILeR’s research, knowledge dissemination, and stakeholder engagement. This part-time hybrid role is based in Dubai, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and optimizing mobile app features, implementing secure and scalable back-end integrations, and ensuring a user-centered interface aligned with legal research needs. The role involves collaborating with researchers and technical staff to translate functional requirements into robust software solutions, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and maintaining high standards of performance, accessibility, and data protection. The Senior Mobile App Developer will also contribute to technical documentation and provide guidance on best practices, architecture decisions, and potential enhancements.QualificationsStrong skills in Software Development and Programming for mobile applications, including experience with relevant frameworks and languages (e.g., Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, or React Native).Experience working with Databases and data modeling, including designing secure data storage and efficient queries for mobile environments.Proficiency with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and related front-end technologies to ensure responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces.Demonstrated ability in Integration of mobile apps with APIs, third-party services, and back-end systems, ensuring reliability and security.Relevant academic degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree is an asset.Experience in developing apps for research, education, or data-driven environments, preferably with familiarity with legal or social science domains.Ability to collaborate effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams, with clear written and spoken communication skills in English.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to inclusive, user-centered design and data privacy best practices.
