We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join an innovative technology company developing mobile applications that help millions of customers manage their home networks. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will take ownership of complex features, drive technical initiatives and contribute to the architecture and development of scalable, high-quality mobile applications.You will work across mobile, cloud and embedded systems, collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and help shape the technical direction of the application. AI-assisted development is an important part of the engineering workflow, supporting code generation, test creation and code reviews.Key responsibilities & duties include:Design and develop features across Android applications, focusing on scalability, performance and usabilityTake ownership of initiatives from design through to delivery, collaborating with cloud and embedded engineering teamsDevelop and maintain unit, integration and UI test coverage, alongside manual QAContribute to application architecture and technical decision-makingImplement engineering best practices, including code reviews, CI/CD and secure software deliveryUse AI development tools throughout the software development lifecycleMentor engineers and support a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvementRequired Experience:Extensive Android development experience using Kotlin and JavaStrong understanding of Android OS architecture, platform services and system-level integrationsExperience designing scalable, testable and reusable applicationsStrong knowledge of Material Design and modern Android UI developmentExperience working across mobile, cloud and embedded systemsExperience developing clients for APIs and microservicesPractical experience with AI-assisted development tools for code generation, testing and code reviewsExperience with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as GitHub Actions and FastlaneStrong analytical, problem-solving and communication skillsExperience mentoring engineers or providing technical guidanceBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experienceDesirable skills:Experience developing or maintaining Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) layersFamiliarity with IoT systems, Bluetooth, WiFi or networking hardwareExperience with subscription-based products, in-app purchases and billing integrations What’s in it for you: An opportunity to join a fast-growing company Options for career advancement Learning and development opportunities Flexible working environmentCompetitive salaries based on experience Equal Opportunity Employer:Amach is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
