Have you built physics-based models of missiles, aircraft, UAVs, spacecraft or other dynamic systems? Would you like to explore system performance and mission effectiveness before helping engineers decide what gets built and tested? If so, this opportunity may be the right next step for you. This fast-growing defence technology organisation develops advanced autonomous systems for demanding, time-critical missions. Engineers work in small multidisciplinary teams where simulation directly influences engineering decisions and future system development. The Senior Modeling & Simulation Engineer will develop physics-based simulations and mission analyses to understand trajectory, range, engagement performance, system limitations and mission effectiveness. As the Senior Modeling & Simulation Engineer your responsibilities will includeDeveloping physics-based and 6-DOF simulations for missiles, interceptors and aerospace vehiclesModelling trajectories, engagements and mission scenarios to understand performance and operational limitsRunning Monte Carlo analyses, sensitivity studies and trade studies to identify key performance driversBuilding Python-based simulation, analysis and visualisation tools for multidisciplinary engineering teamsTranslating results into recommendations that influence requirements, architecture, design and testingAs the Senior Modeling & Simulation Engineer you will bringExperience in modeling & simulation, mission analysis, flight performance, GNC or flight sciencesStrong Python skills with numerical modelling, simulation or scientific computing experienceExperience with 6-DOF models, Monte Carlo analysis, dynamic systems or physics-based simulationKnowledge of flight dynamics, trajectories, vehicle performance or engagement analysisAbility to translate complex simulation results into clear engineering decisionsMissile, interceptor or weapons-system experience is valuable but not essential. Engineers from UAV, aircraft, spacecraft, GNC, autonomy and flight dynamics backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The Senior Modeling & Simulation Engineer will work alongside GNC, systems, software, test and hardware engineers, using simulation to explore new ideas and directly influence physical system development. With pre-IPO equity, relocation assistance and outstanding benefits, this is an opportunity to remain deeply technical while progressing towards Principal Engineer and technical leadership. All successful applicants will be contacted within two working days.
