The company is an Equal Housing Opportunity Lender committed to responsible lending practices and clear, confident closings.Role Description The Senior Mortgage Loan Officer is a full-time, remote role responsible for originating residential mortgage loans and guiding applicants from initial inquiry through closing. This role involves consulting with clients to assess their financing needs, explaining loan products, and recommending appropriate solutions that align with regulatory and company guidelines. The Senior Mortgage Loan Officer will collect and review application documents, coordinate with underwriting and processing teams, and ensure accurate, timely communication with all parties. Daily responsibilities include managing a pipeline of loans, maintaining detailed records in company systems, providing exceptional customer service, and staying current on mortgage industry trends, lending guidelines, and compliance requirements. The role also requires building and maintaining referral relationships, contributing to sales goals, and upholding Cardinal Financial’s standards for ethical and transparent lending.Qualifications Experience as a Loan Officer with a track record of originating and managing residential mortgage loans.Strong knowledge of the Mortgage Industry, including current regulations, market trends, and loan products.Hands-on experience in Mortgage Lending processes, from application intake through closing.Familiarity with Underwriting principles, loan guidelines, and documentation requirements.Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and build trust with diverse borrowers and partners.Relevant state licensing and active NMLS registration, in good standing.Proficiency with loan origination systems and basic office software; comfort working in a technology-driven environment.Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple files and deadlines.Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.Prior experience in a high-volume lending environment or with digital mortgage platforms is preferred.
