The organization is committed to building lasting relationships while helping borrowers navigate home financing with confidence and care.Role Description This full-time remote Senior Mortgage Loan Officer role focuses on originating and managing residential mortgage loans from initial inquiry through closing. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining a self-sourced pipeline of borrowers, conducting detailed needs assessments, and presenting appropriate mortgage products aligned with company guidelines. The Senior Mortgage Loan Officer will gather and analyze financial documentation, collaborate closely with underwriting and processing teams, and ensure loans meet regulatory and quality standards. The role also involves delivering responsive customer service, explaining loan options and terms clearly, and guiding customers through each step of the mortgage process. This position requires proactive communication with referral partners, real estate professionals, and internal stakeholders to support consistent production and strong client relationships in a remote work environment.Qualifications Demonstrated experience as a Loan Officer or Senior Loan Officer, with a strong track record of successful loan originations.Solid understanding of the Mortgage Industry, including current market trends, regulatory requirements, and lender guidelines.Proficiency in Mortgage Lending practices, including loan structuring, product selection, and pipeline management.Knowledge of Underwriting principles and documentation standards to facilitate smooth loan approvals and closings.Strong Customer Service skills, including clear communication, empathy, and the ability to manage expectations throughout the loan process.Active NMLS license and any required state licenses for mortgage origination.Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and use mortgage LOS and CRM systems efficiently.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; attention to detail in reviewing borrower documentation.Proven ability to build and maintain referral relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other partners.High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to the organization’s core values and customer-first culture.
