⚓ SENIOR NAVIGATION & COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS ENGINEER ⚓📍 Abu Dhabi, UAE🛡️ Defence🚀 Immediate Requirement💰 Competitive Expatriate PackageA leading naval shipbuilding and defence organisation in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Senior Navigation & Communications Systems Engineer (NAVCOM) to support major naval vessel programmes.This position requires extensive experience with shipboard naval navigation and communications systems, ideally covering engineering, integration, installation, commissioning and sea trials.The Role:🔱 Provide senior technical expertise across naval navigation and communications systems.🔱 Support the engineering, integration and onboard installation of NAVCOM equipment.🔱 Manage interfaces between NAVCOM equipment, Combat Management Systems and other shipboard systems.🔱 Work across communications technologies including HF, VHF, UHF, SATCOM and tactical communications.🔱 Support navigation systems including radar, GNSS/GPS, INS, gyro, ECDIS and associated bridge equipment where applicable.🔱 Support RF distribution, antenna systems and shipboard communications architecture.🔱 Review system specifications, drawings, interface documentation and equipment requirements.🔱 Troubleshoot complex integration, RF, communications and interface issues.🔱 Support setting-to-work, commissioning, HAT, SAT and sea trials.🔱 Coordinate with shipyard engineering teams, combat-system integrators, OEMs and specialist suppliers.Requirements:⚙️ Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Systems, Marine Engineering or a related discipline.⚙️ Significant experience with naval navigation and/or communications systems.⚙️ Strong knowledge of HF, VHF, UHF and SATCOM.⚙️ Experience with RF systems, antennas and shipboard communications architecture.⚙️ Knowledge of tactical communications, COMSEC and Tactical Data Links advantageous.⚙️ Knowledge of naval navigation systems including radar, GNSS/GPS, INS, gyro and ECDIS advantageous.⚙️ Experience integrating NAVCOM equipment with CMS and wider combat/mission systems highly desirable.⚙️ Strong installation, commissioning and troubleshooting capability.⚙️ HAT, SAT and sea-trial experience strongly preferred.⚙️ Previous experience on frigates, corvettes, OPVs or other naval vessels highly desirable.Candidates must be willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi, UAE.
