SENIOR OFFICER, CORPORATE GOVERNANCE ADVISORY & COMPLIANCEIoD Centre for Corporate Governance (IoDCCG)Location: Ikoyi, Lagos | Full-timeBuild your career where governance meets business.The IoD Centre for Corporate Governance (IoDCCG) is a leading corporate governance institution committed to advancing better governance across Nigeria through advisory, research, advocacy, publications and capacity development.We are looking for a curious, analytical and high-performing professional to join our Corporate Governance Services team.This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys asking why, understanding how organisations work, solving problems and turning ideas into practical governance solutions.ABOUT THE ROLEAs Senior Officer, Corporate Governance Advisory & Compliance, you will contribute to the delivery of governance and compliance engagements for organisations across different sectors.You will work with experienced professionals on assignments that may include Board and Corporate Governance Evaluations, governance frameworks, policies, compliance reviews, research and advisory projects.You will also have the opportunity to contribute to business development and the development of new ideas, solutions and intellectual content for the Centre's growing portfolio of services.WHAT YOU'LL DOYour responsibilities will include:Supporting the delivery of corporate governance, ethics, compliance and related advisory engagements. Conducting research and contributing to reports, assessments, frameworks, policies and other client deliverables. Supporting the development of governance policies, frameworks and other advisory tools. Managing aspects of projects from inception through execution and close-out. Developing proposals, concept notes, presentations and other business development materials.Supporting client and stakeholder engagements and maintaining effective project communications. Contributing to the development of thought leadership and technical content on governance, ethics, regulation and related issues. Supporting business development initiatives and identifying opportunities for the Centre's governance services. Working collaboratively with project teams to deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timelines.WHO WE'RE LOOKING FORWe are particularly interested in people who are:Curious. You understand that excellent professional work is often the product of collaboration.Above all, we are looking for someone with intellectual curiosity, integrity, good work ethic and a genuine interest in how organisations are governed and managed.WHAT YOU SHOULD BRINGEducationA Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law, Statistics, Data Analytics or another relevant discipline.A relevant professional qualification or certification will be an advantage.Experience2–4 years' relevant professional experience. Experience in corporate governance, consulting, compliance, audit, risk, legal, strategy, research or a related field will be an advantage. Demonstrable experience in research, report writing, project coordination or advisory work is desirable. Technical & Professional SkillsGood understanding of corporate governance principles and practices. Strong research, analytical and report-writing skills. Good quantitative and data-analysis abilities. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to develop clear and compelling proposals, presentations and written materials. Strong organisational and project management skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet demanding deadlines. Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
