KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTo verify all the deals tickets originating from the Dealer for its mathematical accuracy, completeness in way of control number, support documents.To monitor and record interbank lending limits on daily basis and ensure updating and keeping them valid and to mark and authenticate use of limit against each usage on the basis of deal tickets and authenticate them for having done so.To receive Cash Flow Statements from Operations Bank Office at regular intervals during the day ensuring proofing of figures all the time. Monitor KWD movements through KNPS (RTGS System of CBK).To prepare daily, weekly and monthly returns (as per HO & Central Bank of Kuwait requirements) and ensure reporting them accurately on time all the times.To prepare management report for liquidity forecasting and projecting LCR.To ensure that all ratios are within CBK & HO requirements and any exception to be escalated as per the governance requirements.To monitor FX position intra day and overnight and verify them with the report generated by the system and reconcile the position and hold this reconciliation on day to day basis. Intra day position will be closely monitored within the limits set by CBK and the Group Risk management.Monitor KIBOR rates and establish the FX counter rate and staff rate including the margin.To report all exceptional deals to Manager-Risk for necessary actions, if any.To have an oversight on the reports on Market and Liquidity Risk sent to Group Risk Management (Market Risk) and to co-ordinate with them for any issues through the Treasury.To calculate profit on a daily basis and reconcile the same with Dealer’s Blotters to ensure accuracy and maintain transparency.Assist Manager-Risk in preparation for MIS and pack for Branch Risk and Compliance Committee.Act as a back-up for activities performed by Manager-Risk in his absenceTo lead and present to Branch Risk and Compliance Committee based on the governance charter.To provide inputs and present, if required, at the Regional Risk and Compliance Committee on Risk management areas.To coordinate with Head Office as required on important matters in the absence of Manager-Risk.To represent risk management in the various Branch level governance committees (ALCO, Exco, B-RCC) based on the delegation provided.Sign off on the stress testing and submission to Central Bank of Kuwait.Sign Off on the IFRS 9 and submission to Central Bank of Kuwait.Supervise the Management Trainee Risk ManagementReview the work performed by the Management Trainee with respect to the daily weekly and monthly tasks.Perform the Checker role for the daily deposits and other treasury reports prepared by the subordinates.Train the subordinate to bring them up to speed with additional tasks.Other ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with internal or external audits, Central Bank audits, Internal Control reviews, in areas specific for Risk Management.Participate in any other projects/policy tools designed to meet the increasing demands of Risk Management.To be aware of and to comply with all directives issued by the regulators in relation to Capital Adequacy and other issues.Be well conversant with AML & CFT and Sanctions requirements and ensure the requirements strictly complied with. Be aware of latest rules and requirements under the respective laws and sanctions.Assisting Manager-Risk in managing the Risk – Market, Liquidity, Interest, Operational, Fraud and other risks, with particular attention to Risk and Reward Matrix adopted by the bank.Compliance with Bank’s Policy and Procedures and other Directives issued from time to time as well as Central Bank of Kuwait and Central Bank of UAE directives.Responsible for maintaining professional and high standards work ethics.To co-ordinate and direct every aspect of Risk issues.Act as a back-up for activities performed by the Immediate Supervisor in his absenceTo provide inputs to Branch Risk and Compliance Committee based on the governance charter.To provide inputs, if required, at the Regional Risk and Compliance Committee on Risk management areas.To coordinate with Head Office as required on important matters in the absence of Risk Lead.REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONSUniversity degree Requires 4+ years’ experience/skills in a Risk oversight or Compliance role with preferably Corporate advance focus.Good understanding of branch credit portfolio components.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in the industry.Strong interpersonal and communication skills; excellent team player, ability to deal with business and risk partners at all levels.Good quantitative skills, details oriented.The person should be highly motivated and be able to work under pressure.Good interpersonal skills and pleasant personality to deal effectively with all stakeholders.Strong English languages skills.Fair awareness of bank’s policies, A&OM and CBK regulations, HO and RO guidelines, local market regulations, compliance manuals.
