Senior Operations Manager

The company is committed to reliable transportation solutions, operational efficiency and delivering quality service to its customers.They are looking for an experienced and hands-on Operations Manager to oversee transportation operations, manage fleet activities, optimise resources and ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day truck transportation operations
• Plan and coordinate fleet movements, routes and schedules
• Manage drivers and operational teams to ensure efficient performance
• Monitor vehicle utilisation, availability and operational efficiency
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and ensure timely servicing
• Monitor fuel consumption, transportation costs and other operational expenses
• Ensure compliance with road safety, company policies and regulatory requirements
• Track delivery schedules and ensure timely and reliable service
• Address operational challenges, delays and breakdowns effectively
• Maintain accurate operational records and prepare performance reports
• Identify opportunities to improve fleet utilisation and reduce operational costs
• Drive discipline, accountability and performance across the operations teamRequirements
• Minimum 8 years of experience in truck transportation, fleet operations or logistics
• At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory position
• Proven experience managing truck fleets, drivers and transportation operations
• Strong knowledge of fleet planning, route management and transportation scheduling
• Experience monitoring fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance and operating costs
• Strong understanding of road safety and transportation compliance
• Excellent leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, operationally demanding environment
• Candidates with hands-on experience managing large commercial truck fleets will be highly considered
