Position: Senior Operations Manager – Transportation & LogisticsLocation: Hopewell Junction, NYSites Supported: Swedesboro, NJ & Glen Burnie, MDSchedule: Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM; flexibility for after-hours/overnight routes and occasional SaturdaysTravel: ~50%, including overnight travelOverview:Seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead multi-site transportation operations supporting three major automotive customers across the Northeast.Key ResponsibilitiesLead operations across 3 locations and manage 3 Operations Managers + large driver/dock workforce.Own safety, service, staffing, capacity, operational KPIs and customer satisfaction.Manage customer relationships, escalations and service recovery.Track and improve on-time delivery, scanning compliance and operational efficiency.Own P&L, budgets, forecasting, labor and transportation costs.Develop managers, improve driver engagement and build a culture of accountability.Drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, standardization and continuous improvement.Partner with HR, Safety, Finance, Maintenance and IT to resolve operational issues.Requirements:Significant experience in transportation/logistics, dedicated transportation, 3PL, LTL or contract logistics.Proven multi-site transportation leadership experience.Experience managing drivers/frontline teams and developing managers.Strong P&L, budgeting, forecasting and KPI management experience.Strong customer-facing, problem-solving and communication skills.Ability to influence across teams and drive sustainable improvements.50% travel required.Preferred:Automotive transportation/3PL, OEM or automotive parts logistics experience.Final-mile, LTL, time-critical or customer-site experience.Union environment, turnaround/stabilization or Lean Six Sigma experience.
