The Senior Project/Operations Manager is responsible for management of multiple facets of the operations including the estimating and execution of service and construction projects for remote mining camp and modular facility operations as well as daily operational functions of the business. This role provides leadership across the full project lifecycle—from proposal development through project delivery and closeout—ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contractual, operational, and regulatory requirements.Reporting directly to the Vice President and General Manager, this role ensures the link between the various departments and site operations is seamless and that all aspects of the day-to-day operations and long-term plans are being undertaken in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The successful candidate will assist in the development and implementation of project and operational-related processes and procedures while providing guidance and mentorship to staff where requiredThis is a full-time position, located in Sudbury, ON.Essential Job Functions:Provide leadership and oversight for operational activities related to remote mining camp and modular facility projects.Manage and support the Project Manager to ensure effective delivery of projects, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk management.Manage and support the Estimator to ensure accurate, competitive, and compliant cost estimates and proposal submissions.Evaluate and improve business procedures, workflows, and operational systems to support organizational goals. Oversee the preparation, review, and validation of cost estimates for equipment supply, logistics, materials, labour, and subcontracted services.Participate in drafting and reviewing scope of work responses to RFPs, including pricing strategy and risk identification.Ensure projects are executed in accordance with contract requirements, company standards, and client expectations.Review project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost-to-complete reports and implement corrective actions as required.Oversee contract management from project award to closeout including change management, billing/invoicing, and documentation submission.Prepare and submit regular reports to company leadership regarding operational performanceEnsure effective coordination between estimating, project management, procurement, logistics, subcontractors, and internal teams.Identify operational, financial, and contractual risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are being adhered to during RFP development and throughout project execution.Support jobsite visits, quality inspections, and modular asset maintenance planning as required.Establish and maintain standardized operational processes, reporting tools, and templates.Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for direct reports.Support continuous improvement initiatives across estimating and project execution.Travel to remote sites to support estimating, project setup, coordination, and delivery.Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 8 years of experience in operations, project management, or construction leadership roles.Experience in modular construction, remote camps, mining, industrial, or construction environments.Proven experience managing project execution and estimating functions.Strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.Experience with contract administration, change management, and commercial risk management.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong business writing skills.
