Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe client is looking at hiring a Senior Oracle FAH & Financials Functional Consultant.The Senior Oracle FAH & Financials Functional Consultant is responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of Oracle Financial Accounting Hub (FAH) and related Oracle E-Business Suite Financial modules.The role requires deep hands-on FAH expertise with the ability to build and own FAH solutions end-to-end—from accounting design and source-system integration through configuration, go-live, reconciliation, and ongoing production support—while ensuring accurate and controlled financial integration with Oracle General Ledger.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, implement, and support Oracle Financial Accounting Hub (FAH) and Subledger Accounting (SLA).
- Take end-to-end functional ownership of FAH solutions from initial design through go-live and production operation.
- Design accounting architecture, transaction and event models, accounting rules, journal line definitions, account derivation rules, and accounting treatments.
- Design and manage accounting flows from banking and other source systems through FAH/SLA to Oracle General Ledger.
- Translate business and accounting requirements into scalable, controlled, and maintainable Oracle solutions.
- Configure, operate, and support Oracle EBS Financial modules, including GL, AP, AR, Cash Management (CE), and Fixed Assets (FA).
- Manage and validate integrations and reconciliations between source systems, FAH, subledgers, and General Ledger.
- Investigate and resolve accounting, reconciliation, integration, and posting issues.
- Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Review existing financial solutions and identify opportunities to adopt standard Oracle functionality and reduce unnecessary customization.
- Prepare functional designs, accounting mappings, configuration documents, reconciliation requirements, and other functional documentation.
- Support SIT, UAT, production deployment, stabilization, and post-production activities.
- Support production incidents, Change Requests (CRs), enhancements, and financial transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with Finance, Business, Solution Architecture, Development, Integration, DBA, and other technology teams.
- Ensure solutions comply with applicable architecture, security, change management, and internal control standards.
- Provide technical-functional guidance and knowledge transfer to internal team members.Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant Oracle Financials functional experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Oracle FAH and SLA.
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end FAH implementations, from solution design and configuration through go-live and production support.
- Experience in at least two end-to-end Oracle FAH implementations, with primary functional ownership or a leading functional role in at least one.
- Proven ability to design and build FAH solutions from scratch.
- Strong functional experience with Oracle EBS GL, AP, AR, CE, and FA.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, reconciliation, journal processing, and financial closing.
- Experience integrating multiple source systems with FAH and Oracle Financials.
- Experience in complex enterprise environments; banking experience is highly preferred.Technical & Functional Competencies:
