Company: DXC Technology Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Experience: 8–10 yearsRole SummaryDXC Technology is seeking a Senior Oracle WebLogic Administrator to deploy, manage, and optimize Oracle WebLogic Server and Oracle Fusion Middleware across on-premises and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments.You will own the middleware lifecycle, including domain provisioning, clustering, performance tuning, patching, security, high availability, disaster recovery, and cloud migration.

The role supports Oracle application and integration platforms such as E-Business Suite, Siebel CRM, Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Service Bus, and Oracle BRM.Key ResponsibilitiesWebLogic Domain AdministrationInstall, configure, and administer Oracle WebLogic Server 12c and 14c across development, staging, and production environments.Design and manage WebLogic domains, Admin Servers, Managed Servers, clusters, machines, and Node Managers.Configure JDBC data sources, connection pools, JMS queues and topics, connection factories, and work managers.Manage security realms, authentication providers, authorization policies, SSL/TLS certificates, and keystores.Deploy and maintain EAR, WAR, and JAR applications, including versioned deployments and rollback procedures.Configure session replication and Oracle Coherence where required.Oracle Fusion Middleware AdministrationAdminister Oracle SOA Suite components, including composites, BPEL, Mediator, Human Workflow, and Business Rules.Manage Oracle Service Bus services, message pipelines, transformations, routing, and throttling.Administer Oracle HTTP Server, Oracle Traffic Director, and web-tier routing components.Support Oracle Identity and Access Management components, including OAM, OIM, OUD, and OID.Administer Oracle Business Intelligence and Oracle Forms and Reports middleware where applicable.Use Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control for monitoring, diagnostics, and configuration management.Oracle Application and Integration SupportManage WebLogic and middleware components supporting Oracle E-Business Suite, including WebLogic domains, Oracle HTTP Server, and Forms and Reports services.Support Siebel CRM middleware components, including the Application Interface, Gateway, Siebel Servers, and web services.Administer Oracle SOA, OSB, and AIA integrations, including deployments, fault management, adapters, and endpoints.Support Oracle BRM middleware integrations, web services, and WebLogic-hosted APIs.High Availability and Disaster RecoveryDesign WebLogic clusters for horizontal scaling and active-active or active-passive availability.Configure traffic routing and load balancing using Oracle Traffic Director, Oracle Global Load Balancer, F5, HAProxy, or equivalent tools.Implement whole-server migration, service migration, and singleton services for automated failover.Develop and test middleware disaster recovery runbooks across on-premises and OCI environments.Document and validate failover and switchover procedures against recovery time and recovery point objectives.Performance EngineeringTune JVM heap, garbage collection, thread pools, work managers, and related settings to improve throughput and stability.Diagnose performance using WLST, WebLogic Diagnostic Framework, Java Flight Recorder, and thread or heap dumps.Resolve stuck threads, memory leaks, connection pool exhaustion, and session issues.Plan capacity for WebLogic domains, JVM instances, and clusters based on workload demand.Integrate WebLogic monitoring with tools such as OEM, Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.Patching and Lifecycle ManagementPlan and execute WebLogic and Fusion Middleware security and release patches using Oracle patching tools.Manage Middleware homes, inventories, patch dependencies, and conflicts.Coordinate patch windows and rollback plans with application and database teams.Lead WebLogic and Fusion Middleware upgrades, including migrations from WebLogic 12c to 14c.Cloud Migration and OCIMigrate WebLogic and Fusion Middleware workloads to OCI Compute, WebLogic for OCI, or container platforms where appropriate.Provision WebLogic on OCI using Marketplace images, Terraform, and OCI Resource Manager.Integrate OCI-hosted WebLogic with OCI Load Balancer, DNS, WAF, and monitoring services.Assess containerization using WebLogic Kubernetes Operator on OKE.Configure OCI Logging, Logging Analytics, and Application Performance Monitoring for middleware workloads.Automation and Operational SupportUse WLST to automate domain creation, configuration, deployment, and monitoring.Develop Terraform configurations and Ansible playbooks for middleware provisioning.Automate health checks, log management, deployments, and certificate renewals.Administer WebLogic and Fusion Middleware targets in Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c Cloud Control.Maintain runbooks and operational documentation; participate in incident management and root cause analysis.Must-Have Experience8–10 years of Oracle middleware administration experience, with deep hands-on expertise in WebLogic Server 12c and 14c.Strong knowledge of WebLogic domains, clustering, JMS, JDBC, security realms, Node Manager, and deployment models.Experience administering Oracle Fusion Middleware components, including SOA Suite, OSB, OHS, OAM/OIM, and Fusion Middleware Control.Experience supporting middleware for at least two of these application stacks: Oracle E-Business Suite, Siebel CRM, Oracle SOA/OSB/AIA, or Oracle BRM.Experience with JVM tuning and WebLogic diagnostics, including thread and heap dump analysis.Experience with WebLogic patching, upgrades, and Middleware home management.Hands-on experience migrating WebLogic workloads to OCI.WLST scripting experience and automation skills using Python, Bash, or Ansible.Working knowledge of Oracle Linux or RHEL.Strong understanding of load balancing, SSL/TLS, DNS, and web-tier architecture.Ability to write clear technical documentation and work with application and infrastructure teams.Preferred ExperienceOracle WebLogic Server, Oracle SOA Suite, or OCI certification.Experience with WebLogic Kubernetes Operator and OKE.Terraform experience with the OCI provider.Experience with Oracle Traffic Director or Oracle Global Load Balancer.Knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud and hybrid integrations.Experience integrating WebLogic monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk.Experience with Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD, or similar deployment pipelines.Experience with Oracle HTTP Server and mod_wl_ohs.Knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC, SAML, and Oracle Access Manager.ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent service management experience.Background in managed services, telecom, or consulting environments.
