Senior Palantir Data Engineer

We are looking to hire a Senior Palantir Data who will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-scale finance data, analytics, reporting, and AI solutions using Palantir Foundry, while building governed data products, Ontology models, and automation capabilities for our client based in Dubai, UAE, which is one of the largest companies in the region.This position is a 12-month contract role and is renewable.We are looking for a passionate Senior Palantir Data who is passionate about building modern enterprise data platforms and AI-enabled analytics solutions that transform financial reporting and decision-making. You should also have extensive experience with Palantir Foundry, data engineering, finance data modelling, Ontology development, Python, PySpark, SQL, ETL/ELT pipelines, data governance, and enterprise AI solutions.Key responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines integrating finance and operational data into Palantir Foundry.Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, transformations, curated datasets, and reusable data products.Translate finance business requirements into scalable data models, transformation logic, and governed business rules.Build certified finance datasets supporting Actuals, Budget, Forecast, Revenue, Expenses, EBITDA, Cost Centres, Chart of Accounts, and management reporting.Design and implement Palantir Ontology, including business objects, relationships, semantic models, and security patterns.Build enterprise dashboards, reports, and analytical applications for Finance and business stakeholders.Automate recurring financial reports, management packs, PowerPoint presentations, Excel outputs, and reporting workflows.Develop AI-powered finance solutions, including conversational analytics, natural language querying, automated narratives, KPI analysis, and management reporting.Ensure strong governance through data lineage, reconciliation, metadata management, security, auditability, and data quality controls.Collaborate with Finance, Data & AI, business stakeholders, architects, and source system owners to deliver scalable, secure, and reusable enterprise solutions.Support production deployments, performance optimization, monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous platform improvements.Knowledge, skills & experience:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Engineering, Finance Technology, or a related discipline.7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Analytics Engineering.Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience delivering enterprise solutions using Palantir Foundry.Strong experience with Foundry datasets, pipelines, transformations, Ontology, data products, governance, lineage, and production support.Advanced proficiency in Python, PySpark (Apache Spark), and SQL.Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT architecture, dimensional modelling, data lakes/lakehouses, APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.Experience with incremental data processing, historical data management, reconciliation, testing, logging, and performance optimization.Solid understanding of finance data domains including General Ledger, P&L, Budget, Forecast, Actuals, Revenue, Expenses, EBITDA, Cost Centres, Chart of Accounts, and financial reporting.Experience working with financial reconciliation and enterprise finance control frameworks.Experience with Oracle HFM or similar enterprise financial consolidation and planning platforms is highly desirable.Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, master data management (MDM), business glossaries, lineage, and data quality.Experience developing AI-enabled analytics, conversational BI, semantic layers, enterprise AI assistants, or Generative AI solutions.Exposure to Microsoft AI Foundry or Microsoft Copilot is an advantage.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.Availability:Preference will be given to candidates available immediately or up to 30 days after accepting the offer.We are looking for a candidate who will be able to work in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
