Senior PCB Layout Engineer (Contract, Remote)

Team members collaborate across disciplines to solve complex problems and support high-impact programs in demanding environments.Role Description The Senior PCB Layout Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end PCB layout design for complex, high-reliability electronic systems. Day to day tasks include translating circuit schematics into optimized board layouts, placing and routing components, performing design rule checks, and ensuring signal integrity, power integrity, and manufacturability. The role involves collaborating with circuit design engineers, reviewing design requirements, coordinating with fabrication partners, and supporting design iterations and engineering change orders. The engineer will also conduct physical verification, review test and validation feedback, and update layouts to meet performance, safety, and compliance standards (CE/FCC). This is a contract position and is fully remote, requiring effective communication and self-directed work in a distributed team environment. Full project details are shared under NDA at screening stage.QualificationsStrong skills in Layout Design, including complex multilayer PCB design, component placement, and routing for high-speed and high density boards.Proven experience with RF and wireless layout, including boards integrating cellular modems, GNSS receivers, and multiple coexisting radio chains with controlled impedance routing.Proficiency in Circuit Design, with experience interpreting and working from schematics, and collaborating closely with design engineers.Hands-on expertise in Analog and Analog Circuits, including layout techniques for noise-sensitive and precision analog sections.Experience with EMC-driven layout and physical verification, including DRC, signal and power integrity checks, and design for manufacturing reviews.Advanced proficiency with industry-standard PCB CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad, Cadence Allegro, Mentor Xpedition, or similar), with the ability to deliver full source files.Demonstrated experience in high-reliability, aerospace, telematics, or industrial applications, including familiarity with relevant standards.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple design cycles in a remote, contract setting.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience in PCB layout engineering.Willingness to sign an NDA before receiving the technical brief.Presence in Dubai / UAE is a plus: while the role is fully remote, candidates based in the UAE or able to attend occasional in person sessions in Dubai will be given preference.
