Role overviewWe are seeking a Petroleum engineer to lead reserve evaluation and debt-capacity reviews for upstream oil and gas projects. The role will provide independent technical assessments to support lenders’ financing decisions and ongoing facility reviews.Key responsibilitiesReview and assess gas reserves, reservoir models, development plans and production forecasts.Prepare or review independent lender banking cases.Conduct debt-capacity, sensitivity and financial-impact analyses based on technical assumptions.Undertake annual reserve reviews and redeterminations, as well as additional reviews following material events where required.Review CAPEX and OPEX assumptions and assess their impact on project development and financing.Contribute to interim lender findings and the Final Technical Due Diligence Report.Coordinate with petroleum engineers, geologists, geophysicists, drilling specialists and other project experts.Support lender reviews, comment resolution and technical discussions throughout the financing period.RequirementsMinimum 10 years’ experience as a Lenders’ Technical Advisor, Independent Engineer, Competent Person or reserves advisor for upstream oil and gas projects.Demonstrated expertise in gas-reserve evaluation, reservoir engineering and production forecasting.Proven experience in independent lender banking cases, debt-capacity and sensitivity analysis, and annual reserve redeterminations.Working knowledge of drilling and completions, facilities, pipelines, and CAPEX/OPEX review.Experience with reserve-backed financing.Experience in the MENA region is an advantage.Ability to lead or coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams and present findings clearly.
