Lead integrated petrophysical studies by combining well log, core, laboratory, and geological data to improve reservoir characterization, support field development planning, reserves estimation, and well delivery while ensuring alignment with ADNOCs subsurface development strategies and technical standards.Key AccountabilitiesPetrophysical Evaluation & Reservoir CharacterizationLead advanced petrophysical interpretation and formation evaluation for exploration, appraisal, development, and production wellsInterpret open-hole and cased-hole logs to determine porosity, permeability, water saturation, lithology, shale volume, net pay, and reservoir qualityIntegrate conventional and advanced logging data with core analysis, SCAL, RCAL, pressure, and laboratory measurements to improve reservoir understandingDevelop, calibrate, and maintain petrophysical models and interpretation workflows for carbonate and clastic reservoirs.Evaluate reservoir uncertainties and recommend data acquisition strategies to improve reservoir characterizationWell Planning & Data AcquisitionProvide technical input for wireline, MWD/LWD, logging programs, coring, formation testing, and special logging requirements.Support drilling operations by reviewing real-time formation evaluation data and advising on logging requirements.Optimize data acquisition programs to maximize reservoir information while ensuring operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.Participate in well planning, geological prognosis, and post-well evaluation activities.Integrated Reservoir StudiesCollaborate with Geologists, Geophysicists, Reservoir Engineers, Drilling, and Production teams to develop integrated reservoir models.Provide petrophysical inputs for static geological models, dynamic reservoir simulation models, reserves estimation, and field development planningSupport reservoir surveillance, production optimization, and infill drilling opportunities through integrated petrophysical analysisParticipate in reservoir management studies, field redevelopment projects, and brownfield optimization initiatives.Technical Leadership & Continuous ImprovementDevelop and maintain petrophysical standards, workflows, and quality assurance procedures in accordance with ADNOC and international best practices.Lead technical reviews, peer assists, and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the subsurfaceteam.Mentor junior petrophysicists and contribute to competency development.Evaluate and implement new petrophysical technologies, digital workflows, and machine learning applications where applicavle.HSE & ComplianceEnsure all subsurface evaluations comply with ADNOC technical standards, corporate governance requirements, and HSE policies..Support Management of Change (MOC), technical assurance reviews, and integrated asset management processes.Maintain data quality, documentation, and technical integrity of petrophysical deliverablesMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, Geoscience, Physics, or a related Earth Science disciplineMaster's degree in Petrophysics, Petroleum Engineering, or Geoscience is preferred.Professional memberships with SPE, SPWLA, EAGE, or equivalent are desirable.Minimum Experience15+ years of petrophysics experience within the upstream Oil & Gas industryProven experience supporting exploration, appraisal, development, and production assets.Strong experience in carbonate reservoirs, with UAE/ADNOC experience highly desirable.Experience working within multidisciplinary subsurface asset teamsDemonstrated experience supporting reserves evaluation, field development planning, and integrated reservoir studiesTechnical CompetenciesAdvanced Formation EvaluationOpen-Hole & Cased-Hole Log InterpretationCarbonate & Clastic Reservoir EvaluationCore Analysis Integration (RCAL &SCAL)Saturation ModellingLithology & Mineral AnalysisNet Pay DeterminationMWD/LWD & Wireline LoggingNMR, Image Logs & Nuclear Logging InterpretationRock Physics FundamentalsStatic Reservoir Modelling SupportReservoir CharacterizationUncertainty & Sensitivity AnalysisReserves EvaluationWell Planning & Data AcquisitionDigital Petrophysical WorkflowsSoftware ExpertiseTechlogInteractive Petrophysics (IP)GeologPetrelRokDoc (preferred)Kingdom (preferred)DecisionSpace (preferred)Behavioral CompetenciesTechnical LeadershipAnalytical ThinkingProblem SolvingStrategic DecisionMakingCross-Functional CollaborationStakeholder ManagementInnovation & Continuous ImprovementKnowledge Sharing & MentoringEffective CommunicationResults OrientationSafety LeadershipPreferred ExperienceExperience with ADNOC or other ADNOC Group operating companies.Strong knowledge of ADNOC subsurface governance, reserves management processes, and field development planning.Experience in integrated asset teams managing onshore carbonate reservoirs in the Middle East.Familiarity with ADNOC digital subsurface initiatives, integrated reservoir modelling, and production optimization work flows.
