The Senior Photographer owns the photo pipeline end to end: taking a creativebrief, building the shot list, executing on set, and delivering finished retouched files. You willshoot HydroJug's campaigns, launches, and everyday content, support other brands we workwith when they need coverage, and hold the color and quality bar across all of it. You partnerwith the Creative Director on direction and brand standards, and own execution and deliveryoutright.ResponsibilitiesPhotographyLifestyle Photography: Shoot HydroJug's lifestyle content across campaigns, product launches, and ongoing everyday needs; carry the same standard onto other brands when they need coverageOn-Set Execution: Own lighting, composition, and set coordination on every shoot, in studio and on location; direct talent and make the calls that get the shotPost-ProductionEditing & Retouching: Take everything you shoot from raw file to final delivery, doing your own retouching to a commercial standard; hold color accuracy and stylistic consistency across brandsPlanningShot Lists & Pre-Production: Turn creative briefs into shot lists before every shoot, and flag what a brief is missing rather than discovering it on setShoot Logistics: Support scheduling, talent, location, and prop coordination so shoot days run on timeEquipment & StudioGear & Space: Manage an assortment of company-owned camera bodies, lenses, and lighting equipment, along with the studio space, including setup, upkeep, and what needs replacingQualificationsRequired5+ years of commercial photography experience, with lifestyle work for consumer or DTC brands in your portfolioTrack record executing shoots start to finish: planning, shooting, editing, deliveryStrong studio and location lighting skills, including mixed and available lightProficient in Lightroom, Capture One, and Photoshop, or close equivalentsAble to do your own editing and retouching to a commercial standard, from raw file through final exportDemonstrated ability to shoot to someone else's brand guidelines without dropping qualityDetail-oriented on color accuracy and brand consistency, and reliable under launch and campaign deadlinesAble to travel occasionally for on-location shootsThe portfolio matters more to us than the résumé. If you have fewer than five years behind you but the work is there, apply anyway and let it speak for itself.PreferredEcommerce, retail, DTC, or consumer-goods domain backgroundAble to shoot and edit across a range of styles rather than one signature lookStrong file management and asset organization habitsFamiliarity with how photography gets used downstream across web, email, paid, and retailSuccess CriteriaFirst 30 Days: You know the brand guidelines, you've met the creative team, and you've executed your first shoot.60 Days: You're shooting HydroJug's lifestyle content independently, with consistent quality and on-time delivery.90 Days: You own your part of the photo pipeline, including shot lists, shoots, and edits, with little oversight needed from the Creative Director.Location and ReportingReports to the Creative Director (Josh Kohler) as a senior individual contributor with no directreports. Partners closely with the Creative Director on brand direction and shot approval, withbrand and marketing leads on campaign and launch requirements, and with the creative andcontent teams as the primary internal consumers of the photography. Some travel required foron-location shoots. On-site in Ogden, UT.Physical RequirementsShoot days involve standing and moving for extended periods, frequently lifting and carryingcamera and lighting equipment and cases weighing up to 50 pounds, and setting up andbreaking down gear.
