This is a senior, hands-on photography and visual direction role.Position SummaryLUG is seeking a Senior Photographer / Photography Art Director to own the photographic expression of our growing lifestyle brand. This senior, hands-on creative role establishes visual direction while remaining deeply involved behind the camera.The role leads product, e-commerce, lifestyle, model, and campaign photography from concept through final delivery, including lighting, styling, art direction, capture, editing, retouching, and preparation of channel-ready assets. The ideal candidate brings a strong photographic point of view, technical expertise, commercial awareness, and the ability to translate brand direction into compelling, consistent imagery.Photography is the core of this role. compelling photography is essential to how our products are understood, desired, and experienced by customers.Key ResponsibilitiesPhotography & Brand DirectionOwn LUG’s photography standards and visual language across product, e-commerce, campaign, lifestyle, model, retail, licensing, and marketplace imagery.Translate brand and campaign direction into photographic concepts, mood boards, shot lists, lighting plans, styling direction, and production approaches.Maintain a consistent brand eye across composition, color, lighting, casting, styling, environments, and post-production.Evolve photography guidelines to improve consistency while keeping the brand fresh and commercially relevant.Product & E-Commerce PhotographyPlan, style, light, and photograph LUG products for e-commerce, marketplaces, wholesale, retail, live commerce, and internal selling tools.Create accurate, polished imagery that communicates color, scale, material, features, functionality, and product details.Develop efficient, repeatable workflows for high-volume product photography without compromising quality.Help establish and optimize LUG’s Orlando photography studio, including equipment, studio layout, capture workflows, production standards, and scalable processes.Partner with e-commerce, merchandising, product, and marketing teams on channel specifications, launch priorities, and asset requirements.Lifestyle, Model & Campaign ShootsLead lifestyle, model, campaign, and location shoots from pre-production through final delivery.Direct models and on-set collaborators to create natural, engaging imagery that supports the product story and LUG customer.Assess locations, develop visual references, plan equipment and lighting, and identify production needs and risks.Balance creative ambition with schedule, budget, product availability, usage, and channel requirements.Lighting, Styling & Art DirectionDesign and execute lighting for studio and location work, including product, tabletop, on-figure, and environmental imagery.Style products and direct prop, wardrobe, hair and makeup, set, and model styling as required.Provide decisive on-set art direction while remaining the primary photographer for most shoots.Create an organized, collaborative set where the team understands creative goals, priorities, and approvals.Editing & Final Asset DeliveryOwn image selection, color correction, compositing, cleanup, retouching, cropping, and final quality control.Maintain accurate product color and detail while applying a polished, channel-appropriate finish.Deliver final assets in required formats, dimensions, naming conventions, color spaces, and file structures by deadline.Maintain organized archives, working files, metadata, usage information, and approved final assets for efficient reuse.Production & CollaborationOwn photography schedules, shot lists, asset tracking, production status, and delivery timelines across overlapping launches and campaigns.Partner with Brand, Creative, Marketing, E-Commerce, Product Development, Licensing, LugLive, and external production partners.Identify missing samples, approvals, talent, locations, or resources early and escalate risks with clear solutions.Manage studio readiness, equipment care, file backup, and photography-related vendors or freelancers, partnering with operations and studio support on physical product and sample readiness.Provide creative feedback and guide photographers, assistants, retouchers, stylists, or production partners when assigned while remaining accountable for the final result.Video – Nice to HaveCapture or support short-form product, behind-the-scenes, social, or campaign video when it complements the photography plan.Collaborate with video specialists studio and operations support on sample readiness.Collaborative — gives and receives clear feedback and works effectively across creative and business teams.QualificationsFive or more years of professional commercial photography experience, or equivalent demonstrated experience through portfolio, ideally in fashion, accessories, lifestyle, retail, consumer products, or e-commerce.Strong portfolio demonstrating product/e-commerce photography, lifestyle and model work, lighting, styling, art direction, and high-end retouching. Portfolio quality and range will be a primary consideration.Advanced proficiency with professional camera systems, studio lighting, tethered capture, color-managed workflows, and Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop and Lightroom or Capture One.Experience leading shoots from concept and pre-production through capture, post-production, approval, and final delivery.Strong knowledge of digital asset specifications, file formats, resolution, color spaces, naming conventions, backups, and archival practices.Ability to work at pace across high volumes of products, launches, channels, and deadlines while maintaining consistent standards.Strong communication, planning, creative presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.Ability to work full-time onsite at LUG’s Orlando office and travel occasionally for location shoots or productions.Work Location & ScheduleThis is a full-time, onsite position based in LUG’s Orlando, Florida office. Regular in-person studio work is an essential requirement.
