Senior PL/SQL & Java Technical Consultant

Job Title: Senior PL/SQL & Java Technical ConsultantExperience Level: 5 – 8 YearsPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Technical Consultant with deep backend programming expertise, centered heavily on Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle APEX and Core Java (20%)In this role, you will be responsible for custom in house system operational support.

The role includes but not limited to data-engineering and backend logic required to interface complex external source systems with Oracle Cloud ERP and the custom in house system. You will write high-performance database programs and implement custom middleware/Java adapters, with specialized technical handling for in house full custom systems.Key ResponsibilitiesCore PL/SQL & Database Engineering Architect, build, Support and optimize complex PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and analytical views to handle heavy batch data transformations and high-volume data staging.Execute advanced SQL performance tuning, index optimization, and query execution plan analysisDevelop and support custom accounting engines, staging reconciliation logic, and error-handling frameworks to process external source records before ERP ingestion.Build custom internal admin utilities, staging views, and interfaces using Oracle APEX.Support technical data pipeline requirements for Custom In house systemRequired Qualifications & SkillsExperience: 5 to 8 years of total technical development experience, with a heavy emphasis on backend data processing and enterprise integration.PL/SQL Mastery (Primary Focus):Expert-level command of Oracle SQL and advanced PL/SQL (Collections, Bulk Collect/FORALL, Ref Cursors, Pipeline functions, Dynamic SQL, and Autonomous Transactions).Proven expertise in query optimization, execution plan diagnosis, and tuning long-running batch processes.Java Proficiency (Secondary Focus):Strong hands-on experience with Core Java (Java 8+), JDBC connection pooling, RESTful API integration, and standard enterprise design patterns.Familiarity with Fusion Cloud file-based integration mechanisms (FBDI, ESS jobs, UCM) and native REST APIs.IFRS 15 Experience: Prior exposure to data feeds, performance obligation mapping, or reporting workflows for IFRS 15 / ASC 606 (Oracle RMCS/Revenue Management is a plus).Oracle APEX: Practical experience developing administrative portals, interface error-correction consoles, or staging screens in Oracle APEX.EducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical discipline.
