Senior Planning Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Establish and own the project baseline schedule (EPS, WBS, activities) for real estate developments using Primavera P6 or MS Project, and define the overall project timeframe from design through handoverLead integration of engineering, procurement, and construction phases into a master timeline; identify critical path, float, and bottlenecksReview and approve baseline schedules prepared by planning engineers before submission to management/clientMonitor progress across multiple projects/sites; compare actual vs. planned and drive corrective action plans with PMsLead delay analysis and Forensic Planning; prepare and defend Extension of Time (EOT) claimsPrepare and present progress reports, cash flow forecasts, S-curves, and KPI dashboards to top management and stakeholdersLead resource loading and leveling across concurrent projects for manpower, equipment, and materialsSet planning standards, templates, and best practices across the department; mentor junior planning engineersPartner with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Procurement to align schedules and resolve cross-functional bottlenecksRequirements & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field6+ years of planning and scheduling experience in large-scale construction or real estate development, with prior ownership of full project baselinesAdvanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project; advanced Excel for data analysis and reportingStrong track record independently leading delay analysis and EOT claim preparationDeep understanding of construction sequencing, resource management, budgeting, and cash flow principlesProven leadership skills — able to review team output, set direction, and represent planning function to senior management
