Senior Planning Engineer - Consultancy - Buildings

An international engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join its project team on a prestigious building development in Abu Dhabi.This is an excellent opportunity to work on a landmark construction project, supporting the successful delivery of a high-profile development through effective planning, scheduling, progress monitoring and project controls. Working as part of the consultant's supervision team, you will play a key role in ensuring the project is delivered on time and in accordance with contractual requirements.The RoleAs the Senior Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring project progress, reviewing contractor programmes, and providing accurate reporting and planning support throughout the construction phase.Key responsibilities include:Review and analyse contractor baseline programmes, updates and recovery plans.Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify potential delays or risks.Assess programme impacts, critical path activities and mitigation measures.Prepare planning reports, dashboards and progress updates for the client and project management team.Review extension of time (EOT) submissions and programme-related contractual matters.Attend progress meetings with the client, contractor and project stakeholders.Ensure planning activities comply with project requirements and contractual obligations.Support the Resident Engineer and Project Manager with project controls and performance reporting.About YouDegree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.Proven experience as a Planning Engineer on large-scale building construction projects.Previous experience working for an engineering consultancy, PMC or supervision consultant.Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 and project planning best practices.Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project controls and programme analysis.Experience reviewing contractor programmes and assessing delay impacts.Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.Must be based in the UAE
