Senior Planning Engineer - Contracting Background

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Planning Engineer role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Senior Planning Engineer will develop, maintain, and update project schedules for contracting projects, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements, resource availability, and project milestones. The role involves coordinating with project managers, site teams, and other stakeholders to track progress, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions. The Senior Planning Engineer will prepare periodic planning and progress reports, dashboards, and forecasts, and support claims, extensions of time, and change management through robust planning data. The role also includes optimizing production planning, supporting project control activities, and contributing to continuous improvement of planning processes and tools.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Planning and Production Planning skills for contracting and construction projects.Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret project data, identify trends, and propose practical solutions.Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present planning insights clearly.Candidates should possess experience in Project Control, including monitoring progress, managing baselines, and supporting cost and time control.Candidates should possess proficiency in planning and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office tools.Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, with several years of experience in contracting or construction planning.Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.Candidates should possess knowledge of relevant industry standards, contractual frameworks, and best practices in project planning and control.
