Senior Planning Manager

The Senior Planning Manager will work with the Project Team to develop effective programmes and ensure these are monitored within the performance and management framework established for the development, thereby ensuring overall team success for timely delivery of projects, while minimising claims and disputes between project stakeholders. He will lead, manage and motivate Planning Team as well as to make a high-level contribution to the Management team.QualificationsTertiary qualification (University Graduate) in either Project Management, Building Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Architecture or similar plus a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in a planning / project management roleExtensive experiential learning in the construction industry (15 years plus)Progressively increased responsibility over career durationRelevant projects of an appropriate scale (mixed-use residential, hotel, villas)KSA experience preferredResponsibilitiesImplement best practice for planning functions in KSA branch, ensuring the availability of a forum for planning discussions and developmentAssist in compiling project proposals and offer advise on staffing allocationsManage IT and software requirements for the planning department and offer guidance to leadership in this regardManage and motivate colleagues and the planning teamMonitor training requirements for the Planning Team and make recommendations to leadership in this regardDevelop initiation programmes and detailed plans for all development phasesDevelop an overall development project progress control system for all phasesEffectively present project plans to stakeholders.Preferred SkillsActive membership of a relevant professional institution is an additional considerationOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
