Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer & Technical Lead (SAP BTP & GCP DevOps)  Company: AsInt, Inc. Location: India Position Type: Full-time Urgency: Immediate hire  Role Overview AsInt is seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer and Technical Lead to own and scale our SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and GCP infrastructure operations. This is a critical, hands-on leadership role that combines deep technical expertise with the ability to mentor and grow a small engineering team.  The core challenge: our SAP BTP landscape has become complex with multi-tenant deployments, B2B integrations, and evolving customer requirements that demand deep technical expertise. We need someone who can step in, stabilize the platform, build operational discipline, and lift the team to a higher standard of excellence.  This role blends: Deep technical execution (SAP BTP, GCP, DevOps, infrastructure automation, Kubernetes) Team leadership and mentoring (managing 2–4 engineers and growing their capabilities) Operational ownership (reliability, performance, security, cost optimization) Hands-on problem-solving (directly unblocking technical issues, debugging production problems, and driving solutions)  You will report directly to the executive leadership team and partner closely with the engineering and product teams to ensure reliability and scalability.  Key Responsibilities  SAP BTP Landscape & Multi-Tenant Operations Own the end-to-end SAP BTP platform architecture, including multi-tenant deployments, B2B integration patterns, and customer-specific configurations Stabilize and optimize the current BTP environment; eliminate technical debt and operational blind spots Design and implement standards for environment management, configuration governance, and release orchestration across multiple tenants Troubleshoot complex SAP BTP issues (authentication, integration, performance, scaling) at the platform level Maintain strong relationships with SAP support and stay current with BTP platform updates, new services, and best practices  GCP Infrastructure & Cloud Operations Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable GCP infrastructure (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, networking, IAM) Establish DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices (Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent); automate manual operational toil Design and own CI/CD pipelines for both SAP BTP and GCP-hosted services; ensure fast, reliable, and auditable deployments Monitor infrastructure health, optimize cloud costs, and manage capacity planning Implement security hardening, compliance controls, and disaster recovery across the cloud stack  Team Leadership & Mentoring Lead a small platform engineering team (2–4 engineers); set technical direction and establish high standards for code quality and operational discipline Provide hands-on mentoring through code reviews, design discussions, pairing on complex problems, and regular feedback Grow the team’s technical capabilities across SAP BTP, GCP, DevOps, and cloud-native practices Build knowledge-sharing practices and documentation to reduce key-person risk and accelerate onboarding  Operational Excellence & Reliability Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability for both SAP BTP and GCP environments; define and track SLAs Lead incident response and post-incident reviews; drive continuous improvement Define and enforce operational runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and escalation procedures Manage vendor relationships (SAP, Google Cloud, third-party tools)  Cross-Team Collaboration & Communication Act as the technical bridge between platform operations, engineering, product, and customer-facing teams Translate business requirements and customer needs into platform decisions and roadmap priorities Communicate clearly on technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders Support the broader engineering team with infrastructure guidance, best practices, and design input  Qualifications  Required 10–12 years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or site reliability engineering (SRE) 5+ years of direct experience with SAP BTP (or equivalent enterprise cloud platforms) with demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize multi-tenant deployments 4+ years of hands-on GCP experience (or equivalent cloud provider), including Compute, Kubernetes (GKE), networking, and databases Proven track record leading and mentoring small engineering teams (2–3 engineers); experience growing individual contributors into stronger senior engineers Strong programming and scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash, or equivalent) with an automation-first mindset; Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization (Docker); CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions) Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments (IAM, VPCs, firewalls, SSL/TLS) Problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset: you dig into complex issues, own them to resolution, and don’t settle for workarounds Strong communication and documentation skills; comfortable engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience  Strongly Preferred Direct experience with SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Data Warehouse Cloud, or other SAP BTP services beyond basic platform services Experience managing multi-tenant SaaS platforms with customer-specific configurations and integrations Exposure to B2B integration patterns (APIs, webhooks, OAuth, integration middleware) Experience with AI infrastructure or LLM integration in production systems Familiarity with database optimization (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SAP HANA) and query performance tuning Leadership experience in remote or distributed teams Certifications: Google Cloud (Cloud Architect, Cloud Engineer, SRE) or equivalent  What We’re Looking For Beyond the credentials, we need someone who is technically curious, operationally disciplined, and genuinely interested in helping other engineers grow. You should be comfortable wearing multiple hats, debugging a production incident one hour, mentoring an engineer the next, and architecting the platform the hour after that.  You should be the person who: Asks why things are broken and fixes the root cause, not just the symptom Shares knowledge freely and lifts the team up Stays calm under pressure and thinks clearly during incidents Owns outcomes, not just tasks Thrives in a fast-moving, scale-up environment  Compensation Base Salary (CTC): Competitive based on experience, skills, and current market (SAP BTP and GCP depth command a premium) Performance Bonus: Based on platform reliability, team outcomes, delivery of the infrastructure roadmap, and company performance Benefits: Health insurance, retirement contribution, flexible work arrangements, and learning and development support  Why This Role Matters You are not inheriting a stable, well-managed platform — you are stepping into one that has outgrown its current operational model. This is a chance to stabilize, optimize, and elevate both the platform and the team, and to build the operational discipline that lets AsInt scale confidently across multiple customer bases and cloud environments.  You will work directly with the VP and executive leadership, have autonomy to make technical decisions, and have visibility across the organization. Your decisions will directly impact product reliability, customer satisfaction, and company growth.  How to Apply Interested candidates should reach out directly to: 📧 [uma.krishna@asint.net] Subject Line: Senior Platform Engineer – SAP BTP & GCP  Please include your resume, a brief note on your most relevant SAP BTP and GCP experience, and any questions you have about the role.
