Senior Post Producer (f/m/d)

Role Description We're looking for an experienced Senior Post Producer to independently lead the post-production of our commercial film projects, from the initial post-production setup through editorial, VFX and finishing to final delivery. You'll be the key point of contact between directors, production, editors, post-production partners, agencies and clients, bringing together creative ambition, technical requirements, timing and budget.RoleTake ownership for complex post-production projects, from initial planning and budgeting through editorial, VFX, color grading, sound and finishing to final deliveryAssess projects and creative treatments in terms of post-production requirements, workflows, feasibility, timing and budgetBuild robust post-production budgets and schedules and confidently manage costs, resources and deadlines throughout the projectDefine and drive the right post-production strategy together with Producer, EP and directorTranslate the director's creative vision into clear, efficient post-production workflows and anticipate technical or production challenges earlyAct as a key point of contact for director, agencies and clients throughout post-production, managing expectations and clearly communicating creative, technical, timing and budget implicationsLead and coordinate editors, VFX supervisors and artists, colorists, sound studios and other post-production partnersManage VFX workflows including shot tracking, feedback rounds, approvals, versioning and final deliveryNavigate changes in scope, creative direction or client feedback and clearly assess their impact on timing, resources and budgetOversee finishing, quality control, mastering and the delivery of different formats and versions across platformsWork confidently with international post-production partners and remote workflowsAnticipate risks and bottlenecks early and make clear, pragmatic decisions Own your projects end to end: creatively, technically, operationally and commerciallySkill5+ years of experience as a Post Producer / Senior Post Producer, ideally within high-end commercial film productionStrong experience managing complex post-production projects involving editorial, VFX, color grading, sound and finishingA strong understanding of how creative vision, technical possibilities, production feasibility and commercial requirements come togetherSolid technical understanding of contemporary post-production workflows, including offline/online, conform, VFX, color management, mastering and deliveryFamiliarity with industry-standard post-production tools and a solid technical understanding of how they are used across editorial, VFX, color and finishing. You don't need to be an operator, but you should understand how the tools, workflows and departments interact within a professional post-production pipelineConfident understanding of relevant formats and technical concepts such as codecs, frame rates, aspect ratios, proxies, EDL/XML/AAF, LUTs, color spaces, transcodes and delivery specificationsStrong experience with Frame.io and structured review, feedback, approval and versioning processesExperience with VFX shot tracking and post-production management systems is a plusAn understanding of emerging AI-assisted and generative post-production workflows, their creative possibilities and their implications for rights, confidentiality and client approvalStrong budgeting, negotiation, communication and leadership skills across different teams and external partnersA highly independent, structured and proactive way of workingHigh standards for craft and quality, combined with a strong feel for creative intent, people and production dynamicsConfident decision-making and problem-solving, even when timelines are tight or requirements changeFluent German and EnglishAbout UsAt BWGTBLD, you'll be part of an experienced, close-knit team that works closely and talks on equal terms.
