Senior Power BI Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer to join our team.In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying sophisticated dashboards and reports using Power BI, while also contributing to the delivery of our new analytics capabilities and data lake updates. Profile:The ideal candidate is an engineer in Data or a similar field with a strong background in data analytics and visualization. You should possess a deep understanding of business needs and the ability to model them effectively. A strong communicator fluent in both French and English is essential for collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.Responsibilities:Design and develop advanced Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for HR and other departments.Collaborate with HR stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications while guiding best practices.Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources to ensure data accuracy and integrity, with a focus on optimizing data workflows.Participate in project work focused on delivering new analytics capabilities and updates to the data lake, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Automate reporting processes currently performed in Excel, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in data reporting.Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in HR metrics (e.g., employee turnover, recruitment metrics, performance evaluations).Optimize existing reports and dashboards for performance, usability, and visual appeal.Maintain comprehensive documentation for dashboards, reports, and data sources to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing.Stay updated on Power BI features and capabilities to leverage the latest tools and techniques for data visualization.Technical Skills Must Have SkillsOver 5 years' experience in creating and maintaining PowerBI reportsPower BI certification.Strong ability to communicate in English. French would be a bonus. Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query, with a strong portfolio of developed dashboards and reports.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas, with experience in automating Excel reporting processes.Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret and visualize data effectively.Extensive experience with data modeling and database concepts (e.g., SQL).Knowledge of HR metrics and analytics, including workforce planning, employee engagement, and performance tracking.Familiarity with data visualization best practices to create user-friendly and insightful dashboards.Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively across teams.Nice to haveBachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.Previous experience in HR analytics or reporting roles, particularly in a senior or lead capacity.Soft Skills:Very good communication skills in both French and English.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to quickly understand and translate business requirements into technical solutionsAbility to work remotely and converse with team member located globallyEffective collaboration skills in a multicultural team environment.Knowledge of agile delivery methodsEffective collaboration skills in a multicultural team environment.
