Only apply if you can join ASAP ( Start date 21st September)Senior Power BI Developer Kalyani Nagar, Pune (Onsite) Position Overview The Senior Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions using Power BI. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, developing interactive dashboards, and ensuring data integrity. The Sr. Power BI Developer will lead the design of scalable data models and create customized reports to help drive business decisions. This position requires a deep understanding of data analytics, ETL processes, and Power BI features, as well as the ability to provide strategic insight into BI best practices. This position will report to the Director – Enterprise Data and BI.Essential FunctionsCollaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into actionable Power BI dashboards and reports.Design, develop, and implement interactive Power BI reports and visualizations that provide actionable insights.Develop data models, perform data transformations, and integrate various data sources to create comprehensive dashboards.Optimize Power BI solutions for performance and scalability, ensuring quick response times and efficient data processing.Maintain, update, and troubleshoot existing reports and dashboards as business needs evolve.Develop and manage Power BI datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity.Provide technical expertise in Power BI architecture, DAX, Power Query, and other BI tools.Collaborate with data team members to ensure effective data integration and ETL processes.Peer review and test work completed by other Power BI developers. Stay up-to-date with Power BI updates and emerging trends in data visualization and business intelligence.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all Power BI solutions and workflows.The above is not an all-inclusive list of all duties performed by this job title, only a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.5+ years of experience as a BI developer, with at least 3 years of hands-on Power BI experience.Proficient in SQL and other data querying languages.Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling techniques.Proven experience with Power BI Service, Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Mobile.Experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query for data transformation and calculations.Experience working with diverse data sources such as SQL Server, Azure, Oracle, Excel, and APIs.Experience of integration with Azure data sources is preferred. Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist), MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) or MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) in SQL Server / Data Platform is preferred. Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong data modeling skills, including star schema, snowflake schema, and OLAP concepts.Proficiency in DAX for creating complex calculated measures, tables, and KPIs.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data accuracy.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.Strong priority management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Knowledge of cloud services (Azure, AWS) and experience in implementing Power BI in cloud environments is a plus.Experience with R or Python for advanced analytics and integration with Power BI is a plus.
