Senior Power Plant Operator

Operate and monitor gas turbines, steam turbines, diesel generators, boilers, generators, transformers, pumps and auxiliary systems.Monitor plant parameters through DCS/SCADA/control-room systems.Coordinate plant/unit start-up and shutdown.Handle load increases/decreases and equipment switching.Identify abnormal readings, alarms and equipment/process problems.Take immediate action during trips, breakdowns, power interruptions and emergency situations.Conduct/lead routine plant rounds and equipment inspections.Coordinate with electrical, mechanical and instrumentation maintenance teams.Review shift logs, alarms, operating parameters and performance data.Guide and supervise junior Operators during the shift.Ensure operations comply with SOPs and HSE requirements.
