Senior PowerBI Developer

At Paragon Shift, we help organizations turn complex data into meaningful business insights through modern data analytics, business intelligence, and cloud technologies.We are looking for an experienced Senior Power BI Developer to join our growing team and contribute to the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-level business intelligence solutions for clients across various industries.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that address business requirements.Build and optimize complex data models, including relationships, measures, and calculated columns.Develop advanced DAX calculations and Power Query transformations.Integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, cloud platforms, APIs, and enterprise applications.Work with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and modern data warehouse architectures to deliver scalable analytics solutions.Optimize Power BI performance, data refresh processes, and report usability.Implement data security and governance practices, including Row-Level Security (RLS).Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective BI solutions.Support testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and ongoing enhancements of reporting solutions.Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical best practices and development standards.Requirements5+ years of experience in business intelligence and data analytics, with strong expertise in Power BI.Advanced proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL.Strong understanding of dimensional data modeling, star schemas, and data warehouse concepts.Experience connecting, transforming, and analyzing data from multiple sources.Hands-on experience with Power BI Service, scheduled refreshes, gateways, and workspace management.Experience with performance optimization and troubleshooting.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Data Pipelines.Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, or other Microsoft Azure data services.Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and Medallion Architecture.Experience with Power BI deployment pipelines, version control, and CI/CD practices.Microsoft Power BI or Fabric certifications.Why Join Paragon Shift?Work on diverse, challenging data analytics projects across multiple industries.Gain exposure to modern Microsoft data and AI technologies.Collaborate with a skilled team of data professionals.Contribute to meaningful solutions that help organizations make better business decisions.
