Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole PurposeWe are looking for a proactive, culturally attuned Senior Communications Executive ( Bilingual) to join a leading regional entertainment company operating across MENA.Reporting to the Director of PR & Communications, the role will manage and execute a broad communications agenda spanning consumer and entertainment PR, talent communications, corporate communications, executive profiling, partnerships and campaigns.This is a hands-on role requiring strong judgement, attention to detail and the ability to independently manage multiple workstreams, agencies and stakeholders. The successful candidate will anticipate next steps, identify opportunities and gaps, bring forward recommendations and drive activity through to completion.The role requires a strong understanding of how entertainment, culture and media intersect across MENA, and the ability to turn business, content and audience priorities into credible and compelling external narratives.Key ResponsibilitiesPR Strategy, Campaigns & PublicityTranslate business, brand, content and marketing priorities into communications plans and earned-media opportunities.Independently manage campaigns and agencies from briefing through execution, including timelines, approvals, outreach, coverage and evaluation.Develop proactive stories around content insights, cultural or industry trends.Work closely with Content, Brand, Marketing, Social and partners to support the company's brands.Manage talent publicity including interviews, junkets, screenings and press conferences.Identify stories with relevance across entertainment, lifestyle, culture, youth, business and technology media.Media RelationsHas relationships across the regional communications and PR landscape.Has experience managing content creators and/or content creator agencies.Strong understanding of the UAE, Saudi Arabia and wider MENA media landscape, including Arabic-language media.Manage interviews from opportunity assessment and briefing through coordination, preparation and follow-up.Agency ManagementAct as point of contact for PR agencies, setting clear briefs, timelines and deliverables.Provide decisive feedback and hold agencies accountable for quality, accuracy, deadlines and proactive thinking.Critically assess agency recommendations and identify potential issues or gaps early.Ensure reporting, media intelligence and forward planning are accurate, useful and actionable.Corporate, Executive & Partnership CommunicationsSupport corporate communications across the company's brands and wider group initiatives.Lead communications around partnerships, product announcements, business milestones and other corporate developments.Support executive profiling through interviews, speaking opportunities, thought leadership and briefing materials.Assess inbound media and speaking opportunities and recommend the appropriate response, spokesperson and approach.Writing, Messaging & Quality ControlDraft and edit press releases, statements, executive quotes, Q&As, briefing documents, talking points, biographies and thought-leadership content.Ensure communications are accurate, relevant and consistent with brand messaging.Translate complex business and audience information into clear external narratives.Planning, Reporting & ReputationOwn communications calendars, trackers and campaign timelines, proactively managing deadlines, approvals and dependencies.Follow up with stakeholders, partners and agencies to keep projects moving and resolve outstanding actions.Monitor media coverage, competitors and wider entertainment and cultural conversations to identify opportunities and risks.Produce meaningful reporting focused on quality of coverage, message delivery, target media penetration and learnings.Escalate significant issues quickly, providing context and a recommended course of action.Experience & SkillsApproximately 5+ years' experience in PR, communications, media relations or publicity, in-house, agency-side or both.Experience in entertainment communications strongly preferred, with a good understanding of the regional entertainment landscape.Strong understanding of the MENA media landscape; established regional relationships are advantageous.Experience managing PR agencies and multiple campaigns simultaneously.Bilingual in English and Arabic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both and the ability to draft and edit communications materials in Arabic.Confident working with senior executives, talent, journalists, agencies and partners.Good understanding of digital media, creators, social platforms and the relationship between earned, owned and social communications.Experience using audience data, campaign insights or cultural trends to inform storytelling is advantageous.What Success Looks LikeSuccess means becoming a trusted partner to the Director of PR & Communications who can independently own significant elements of the day-to-day function.Campaigns are planned earlier, agencies are managed effectively, deadlines are met and materials arrive accurate and ready for approval. Media opportunities are proactively identified, stakeholders understand what is required of them, and potential issues are anticipated early.Ultimately, the role creates greater communications capacity while improving the consistency, quality and effectiveness of PR across the company's brands.
