This company has been named annually as a Top Place to Work, based on benefits, compensation, and employee satisfaction.Position OverviewLeads development and implementation of manufacturing processes for new and existing products, balancing production requirements, quality, and cost targetsDesigns fixturing and error-proofing solutions to reduce scrap and improve first-pass yield on high-scrap operationsEstablishes standard work through time studies and validates performance against quoted cost estimatesApplies SPC and process capability analysis to drive stable, high-yield productionLeads process planning for new product introduction (NPI), including tooling strategy, routings, and bill of materials developmentAnalyzes shop floor performance data to identify gaps and implement corrective process improvementsApplies APQP and risk-based quality planning to prevent scrap and quality escapes from reaching the customerSupports cost estimating and equipment justification for new and ongoing programsLeads cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives and mentors junior engineersServes as the technical point of contact for customers and suppliers on process and specification mattersPosition RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering required10+ years of process or manufacturing engineering experience, with a background in aerospace/defense or another highly regulated industryWorking knowledge of aerospace quality standards and specifications (e.g., AS9100) preferredStrong root cause analysis and structured problem-solving skillsExperience with statistical process analysis toolsLean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training/experience preferred
