Senior Procurement Engineer - Solar PV EPCWe are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer - Solar PV EPC to lead procurement, sourcing, vendor management and supply-chain activities across our growing portfolio of Solar PV projects in the UAE and wider GCC.The role will support rooftop, carport and ground-mounted Solar PV EPC projects, including large C&I and utility-scale projects of up to approximately 50 MWp.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end procurement from tendering and budgeting through project execution, commissioning and close-out.Procure major Solar PV equipment including modules, inverters, mounting structures/trackers, transformers, MV/HV equipment, switchgear, cables, SCADA/PPC systems and other BOS materials.Obtain competitive and technically compliant quotations during tendering.Lead commercial negotiations with local and international suppliers, OEMs and subcontractors.Negotiate pricing, payment terms, Incoterms, delivery schedules, warranties, LDs and other commercial terms.Maintain procurement costs within approved project budgets and identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities.Develop and maintain a strong Approved Vendor List and strategic relationships with Tier-1 Solar PV manufacturers and suppliers.Manage procurement schedules, long-lead items, manufacturing, logistics, customs clearance and site delivery.Identify and mitigate supply-chain risks affecting cost, availability and project schedules.Coordinate closely with Engineering, Project Management, Planning and QA/QC teams.Monitor procurement costs, supplier performance and project procurement status and report regularly to management.Support the development of procurement processes, controls, supplier evaluation systems and reporting tools.Requirements8–12 years of relevant procurement and supply-chain experience, preferably within Solar PV, renewable energy, power or electrical EPC.Strong experience in Solar PV EPC procurement, preferably covering rooftop, carport and ground-mounted projects.Strong technical understanding of PV modules, inverters, structures, transformers, MV/HV equipment, switchgear, cables and electrical/mechanical BOS.Proven experience negotiating high-value purchase orders, supply agreements and subcontract packages.Good understanding of Incoterms, international logistics, warranties, guarantees, LDs, payment terms and EPC commercial protections.Experience sourcing equipment from both local and international suppliers.Strong commercial negotiation, cost-analysis and supplier-management skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and procurement packages simultaneously.Strong proficiency in ERP/procurement systems and Microsoft Excel.UAE/GCC Solar EPC experience is strongly preferred.Experience with BESS, substations, grid interconnection or larger ground-mounted Solar PV projects would be an advantage.We are looking for someone with strong commercial ownership who can balance cost, quality, schedule, cash flow and supply-chain risk while supporting the continued growth of our Solar EPC business.
