Location: East or Central Coast, U.S.Senior Management | Procurement | Sourcing | Contract ManagementAbout the OpportunityOur client is seeking an experienced Procurement Senior Manager to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, and procurement initiatives across a complex client portfolio.This is a highly visible, client-facing leadership role suited to a commercially minded procurement professional who can operate confidently at both strategic and operational levels.You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, operational teams, executive sponsors, suppliers, and clients to develop and execute sophisticated procurement strategies that deliver cost savings, efficiencies, standardization, and long-term value.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage procurement teams, including coaching, mentoring, performance management, training, and development.Develop and execute strategic sourcing and procurement strategies at local, regional, and global levels.Lead procurement workstreams for new and expanding client accounts, from pre-award through implementation and go-live.Contribute to bids and proposals, including developing RFI/RFP content and presenting procurement strategies to clients.Act as a trusted procurement subject matter expert in client-facing environments, communicating complex sourcing strategies to both technical and executive audiences.Develop category strategies covering lab instrument services, calibration, consumables, and associated supplier support.Conduct market analysis, supplier assessments, and spend analytics to identify consolidation, dual-sourcing, and cost-reduction opportunities.Draft, negotiate, review, and manage regional and global contracts for significant volumes of goods and services.Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships to drive standardization, efficiency, service improvements, and savings.Serve as the primary commercial contact for key suppliers, ensuring strong relationships while maintaining accountability to contractual commitments.Lead client conversations around contract transitions, sourcing decisions, supplier changes, and financial impacts.Manage procurement activities associated with client-facing bids, transitions, and mobilizations.Develop structured reporting on renewals, spend performance, sourcing initiatives, and procurement activity using tools such as Smartsheet and Power BI.Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, methodologies, and standards.Resolve complex commercial, operational, and procurement challenges while influencing stakeholders toward effective solutions.What We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for a strategic and commercially focused procurement leader with a strong track record in sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations.Ideally, you will bring:Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or contract management.Experience within life sciences, laboratory services, facilities management, or a related technical environment is highly desirable.Experience leading contract transitions, mobilizations, or new account implementations, including supplier engagement, asset onboarding, and stakeholder coordination.Strong experience with Smartsheet, Excel, and Power BI, including the ability to independently build trackers, dashboards, and reports.Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to benchmark spend, evaluate commercial options, identify savings opportunities, and clearly present recommendations.Strong contract negotiation and supplier management experience.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior executives, clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, developing, and motivating teams.The ability to manage sensitive and complex situations while clearly communicating expectations and commercial requirements.Strong organizational skills and a proactive, inquisitive, self-starter mindset.Advanced financial and numerical skills, including the ability to analyse complex commercial and financial data.Strong proficiency across Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.C.P.M., C.P.S.M., or N.A.C.M. certification is preferred.Why This Opportunity?This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile procurement function where you’ll have the opportunity to influence strategic sourcing, supplier performance, commercial outcomes, and client relationships across a complex portfolio.If you’re an experienced procurement leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and can combine commercial expertise with strong stakeholder leadership, we’d love to hear from you.Interested?
