This role will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, procurement, and business teams to transform product concepts into reliable, cost-effective, and manufacturable solutions that meet customer and business requirements.🎯 Key Responsibilities• Lead the design and development of new products from concept through production and commercialization.• Develop detailed engineering designs, specifications, drawings, models, and technical documentation.• Translate customer, market, and business requirements into practical product design solutions.• Create and optimize 3D CAD models, assemblies, engineering drawings, and product specifications.• Conduct design analysis, calculations, simulations, tolerance analysis, and engineering evaluations.• Select appropriate materials, components, manufacturing processes, and design solutions.• Develop prototypes and coordinate testing, validation, and product qualification activities.• Analyze product performance, identify design weaknesses, and implement engineering improvements.• Lead design reviews, technical evaluations, and engineering change processes.• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure products are practical, scalable, and cost-effective to produce.• Work closely with Quality and Testing teams to resolve product defects, reliability issues, and performance concerns.• Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Cost (DFC), and Design for Reliability initiatives.• Conduct root-cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive actions for product-related issues.• Manage engineering change requests, revisions, and product lifecycle documentation.• Work with suppliers and Procurement teams to evaluate components, materials, manufacturing capabilities, and technical specifications.• Support product cost optimization, value engineering, and continuous product improvement initiatives.• Ensure product designs comply with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company specifications.• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, test results, and engineering presentations for management and stakeholders.• Stay current with emerging design technologies, engineering tools, materials, manufacturing methods, and industry trends.✅ Requirements• Proven experience in product design, mechanical engineering, product development, or a related engineering discipline.• Strong experience with product development from concept through prototype, testing, and production.• Advanced proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo, Siemens NX, or similar platforms.• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, engineering materials, manufacturing processes, and product development methodologies.• Experience with GD&T, tolerance analysis, design validation, and engineering documentation.• Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly, reliability, and cost optimization.• Experience with prototyping, product testing, validation, and failure analysis.• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills.• Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Suppliers, and cross-functional teams.• Strong project management and technical communication skills.• Experience with PLM, ERP, product lifecycle management, or engineering change management systems is an advantage.• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements is preferred.• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is preferred.• Professional engineering certification or chartered engineer status is an advantage.🌟 What We Offer• Opportunity to lead innovative product design and engineering development projects.• Exposure to advanced engineering, prototyping, manufacturing, product optimization, and technology development.• Opportunity to work on products throughout the complete development lifecycle.• Career progression into Lead Product Design Engineer, Principal Design Engineer, Engineering Manager, Product Development Manager, Head of Product Engineering, or Engineering Director roles.• A technology-driven, collaborative, and innovation-focused work environment.• Training, technical mentorship, and professional development opportunities.• Competitive compensation, performance incentives, and comprehensive benefits package.
