Senior Product Design Engineer

We are seeking a proactive engineering leader who identifies opportunities, drives accountability, improves products, and takes ownership of delivering results.RequirementsProduct Design & DevelopmentLead the design and development of industrial equipment, custom-engineered products, and project-specific solutionsPrepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, detailed engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentationDevelop and optimize designs using Autodesk Inventor and other engineering toolsPerform engineering calculations, structural analysis, and design validationReview designs with Global Engineering experts and internal stakeholdersEngineering LeadershipProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designersDrive engineering best practices, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiativesSupport team development while ensuring timely and high-quality project executionFoster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and accountabilityCross-Functional CollaborationPartner closely with Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Service, and Global Engineering teamsCoordinate with customers for technical discussions, design approvals, and project requirementsResolve technical queries related to production, installation, commissioning, and customer supportCost Optimization & InnovationDrive Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiativesIdentify cost reduction opportunities without compromising product performance or qualitySupport product benchmarking, standardization, and continuous design improvementsCustomer & Site SupportVisit customer sites when required to support installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and product enhancementsAct as the engineering expert in resolving complex technical challengesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (B.E. / B.Tech)Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial equipment, machinery, heavy engineering, or engineered product designAdvanced proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or equivalent 3D CAD platformsStrong expertise in: Sheet Metal DesignStructural DesignAssemblies & Large Assembly ManagementManufacturing DrawingsProduct CustomizationStrong understanding of: Fabrication| Welding| Machining| Manufacturing Processes| Assembly TechniquesWorking knowledge of GD&T, engineering standards, and design documentation systems, Industrial Equipment Design, Autodesk Inventor ,FEA Product Development |Experience working within ISO 9001 Quality Management environmentsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsBenefitsWhy Join Eriez?
