Senior Product Designer, AI-Driven Global SaaS

Our clients range from early-stage startups building their product for the first time to established global companies running payment and tax infrastructure at serious scale - platforms processing large transaction volumes for millions of end customers. We're a lean, fast-moving team that ships enterprise-grade products for demanding foreign clients - and we care as much about the craft of the interface as we do about the logic behind it.We're hiring a Senior UI/UX Designer who can own a product end-to-end: sit in client discovery calls, translate a messy BRD into a clean system, argue design decisions with engineers, and defend the roadmap in front of a PM without needing a hand-holder. This is not an execution-only seat - it's an ownership seat.The RoleYou'll be one of the senior design voices shaping how our products look, feel, and behave - including how they handle AI-generated output, uncertainty, and user trust. You'll work directly with product managers and engineers (often across time zones), and you'll be expected to bring opinions, not just deliverables.You should be comfortable across the whole product lifecycle - designing a brand-new product zero-to-one for a startup that has nothing but an idea, and also taking an existing product from early scale to the next level of maturity: hardening flows, rebuilding systems that weren't built to handle real volume, and redesigning for enterprise-grade reliability and trust. Different clients will need you in different stages of that journey, sometimes in the same month.Primary Role & ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-End Product DesignRead and challenge BRDs/PRDs independently - no spoon-feeding requiredRun the full cycle: discovery, flows, wireframes, prototyping, usability testing, handoffTake products through their full lifecycle - from a founder's first sketch (zero-to-one) through the redesigns needed to scale a working product into a mature, high-reliability oneDesign information architecture for data-heavy, workflow-heavy products - dashboards, pipelines, rule builders, campaign flows, CRM records and pipelines, transaction and reconciliation screensDesign for products where scale is real: global payment flows, tax calculation and compliance surfaces, and systems serving millions of end customers with high transaction volume - where an unclear state or a wrong default has real financial consequencesAI-Native UX & Customer BehaviorDesign interfaces for AI-powered features: recommendations, generative tools, conversational assistants, predictive/analytics surfacesDefine how the product communicates AI confidence, uncertainty, and errors, and how users override or correct AI outputGround design decisions in actual customer behavior and usage data, not intuition alone - know when to trust a hunch and when to go look at the numbersBring current, evidence-based thinking on AI interaction patterns - this space moves fast and we expect you to move with itDesign Systems & Token ArchitectureOwn and evolve the design system: components, spacing, typography, color, motionBuild and maintain a proper token architecture - primitive → semantic → component layers, synced across light/dark/brand themesKnow when to extend Ant Design / Material / Radix / Tailwind UI and when to break from themEngineering PartnershipWork daily with front-end and full-stack engineers; understand implementation constraints well enough to design for them, not around themContribute to component API discussionsShip developer-ready Figma: auto-layout, variables, variants, responsive frames, zero-ambiguity annotationClient & Stakeholder LeadershipLead design reviews and presentations with internal stakeholders and external (often overseas) clientsRepresent design directly in requirement workshops - turning ambiguous business asks into design decisions in real timeDocument the reasoning behind major calls so the team isn't relying on tribal knowledgeWhat We're Looking For4+ years in UI/UX, with 3+ years on SaaS products (B2B or B2C)Direct experience designing for fintech, martech/marketing automation, CRM, data/ETL, or healthtech products - or clearly transferable complex-systems experienceExperience with, or strong appetite for, both ends of the product lifecycle: launching something from zero to one, and scaling an existing product to handle real growth and complexityBonus if you've designed for global-market software - products serving international customers at volume, especially around payments, billing, or tax/compliance, where correctness and trust are non-negotiableDemonstrated experience designing AI-powered or data-intensive products, not just AI-assisted mockupsA portfolio that shows systems thinking and process, not just polished final screens - we want to see how you got there and what you learnedExpert-level Figma: auto-layout, variables, component architecture, prototyping, dev handoffReal fluency with token systems (Style Dictionary, Tokens Studio, or equivalent) and syncing tokens between Figma and codeComfort holding ambiguity and making the call yourself, in a fast-moving, low-hierarchy environmentStrong written and spoken English - you'll be presenting to and negotiating with international clients directlyThe single biggest thing we're hiring for: ownership and leadership.
