We are looking for a highly experienced and commercially minded Senior Product Manager – Merchant Acquiring & Payments to join our growing FinTech business.This is a high-impact role for a product leader who understands merchant acquiring deeply from both a business and technical perspective and can turn market needs, merchant pain points and emerging payment trends into innovative, scalable products.You will own the product lifecycle end-to-end — from strategy, discovery and business case through technical requirements, development, launch, performance and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the product strategy, roadmap and lifecycle for our merchant acquiring and payment acceptance products.Identify new product opportunities by understanding merchants, markets, competitors and evolving payment trends.Design and launch innovative solutions across POS, SoftPOS, e-commerce, payment gateways, payment links and other acceptance channels.Translate business requirements and customer needs into clear PRDs, user stories, functional requirements and acceptance criteria.Work closely with Engineering, Architecture, UX/UI, Data, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance and Sales teams to deliver products end-to-end.Be able to understand and challenge technical solutions, APIs, integrations and payment flows without losing sight of the commercial objective.Own and continuously optimize key payment journeys including merchant onboarding, authorization, capture, routing, settlement, reconciliation, refunds, chargebacks and reporting.Work with acquiring banks, PSPs, payment processors, gateways, card schemes and technology partners on integrations and product development.Monitor product performance and commercial KPIs, including transaction volume, approval rates, conversion, revenue, merchant activation and retention.Identify opportunities to improve payment performance, reduce friction and increase merchant adoption and profitability.Work closely with Sales and key merchants to understand real-world requirements and translate them into scalable product solutions.Lead product discovery, testing, pilots and launches, ensuring products are commercially and operationally ready.Stay ahead of Visa, Mastercard and relevant regulatory / scheme developments and translate changes into product opportunities or requirements.Continuously challenge existing processes and products and bring new ideas to the business.What We’re Looking For8+ years of Product Management experience, with significant hands-on experience in payments / merchant acquiring / FinTech.Deep understanding of the merchant acquiring ecosystem and payment lifecycle.Strong knowledge of POS, SoftPOS and e-commerce acquiring, payment gateways and payment processing.Experience working with acquirers, PSPs, processors, payment gateways and/or card schemes.Strong understanding of payment flows including authorization, capture, routing, settlement, reconciliation, refunds, disputes and chargebacks.Strong technical understanding of APIs, integrations, payment architecture and technical product requirements.Proven ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements and work effectively with Engineering teams.Experience taking products from 0 → 1 as well as scaling and improving existing products.Strong commercial understanding — able to evaluate products not only from a technology perspective but also in terms of revenue, profitability, merchant value and market potential.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.The Person We’re Looking ForWe are looking for someone who is both a product thinker and a payments expert.You should be curious about how things work, constantly looking for ways to make products better and able to challenge conventional approaches.The ideal candidate is creative, entrepreneurial and hands-on — someone who can sit with a merchant to understand a problem, turn that problem into a product concept, discuss the architecture with engineers and ultimately take the product to market.You should be comfortable operating in a fast-moving FinTech environment where there may not always be a predefined answer or roadmap.If you understand acquiring deeply, think commercially, speak technology and enjoy building new things, we would like to hear from you.
