Senior Production & Process Engineer | Advanced Propulsion | North OxfordThis is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing advanced technology business at a genuinely exciting stage of its development.The business is developing next-generation propulsion systems, combining advanced materials, additive manufacturing, digital engineering and cutting-edge production technologies to create lighter, stronger and more efficient systems for the future.With significant growth across the UK, US and Japan, the business is now building the production capability required to take its technology into the next phase, moving from development and NPI into repeatable, scalable serial production.We are looking for a Senior Production & Process Engineer to play a key role in that journey.This isn't a role where you'll simply inherit an established production process and keep it running. You'll have the opportunity to help build the manufacturing operation, influence equipment and process decisions, establish production standards and shape how next-generation propulsion systems move from engineering into serial manufacture.Working across Engineering, Quality, NPI and Operations, you'll take ownership of manufacturing processes, drive production readiness, solve complex production challenges and continually improve capability, efficiency and reliability.Key Skills & Experience5+ years' experience in Production, Manufacturing or Process EngineeringStrong experience taking products or processes from NPI into serial productionPFMEA creation, ownership and maintenanceStructured problem solving, RCCA / Root Cause Analysis / 8DExperience developing standard work, control plans and work instructionsProduction KPI management, including throughput, yield, scrap, downtime and cycle timeExperience with process qualification such as IQ/OQ/PQ or equivalentStrong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Continuous ImprovementExperience analysing manufacturing processes, labour and production costsStrong project management and cross-functional collaboration skillsExperience working closely with Engineering, Quality and ProductionA strong understanding of manufacturing quality, safety and complianceExperience in assembly, advanced manufacturing or establishing new production operations would be highly advantageousWhy this role?This is a chance to join a business where advanced engineering isn't just being developed in the lab, it is being taken towards real-world production.You'll have genuine technical ownership, the opportunity to influence how the manufacturing operation is built and the chance to work at the intersection of advanced materials, propulsion, additive manufacturing and digital engineering.For the right engineer, there is significant scope to develop alongside a business that is scaling rapidly and working on some seriously interesting technology.
