Senior Production Engineer

Senior Production Engineer – Bedfordshire | £50,000–£55,000I’m currently recruiting for a Senior Production Engineer to join an established engineering business operating within the defence sector.This is a varied role covering NPI, manufacturing, test and continuous improvement. You’ll be working closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to make sure new products can be moved into production efficiently, as well as improving existing processes.The role will include:Taking new products from engineering into productionDeveloping and improving manufacturing and test processesProven experience in the electronics engineering fieldCreating work instructions, BOMs and manufacturing documentationDesigning and improving jigs and fixturesTroubleshooting production and test issuesWorking with Engineering on DFM/DFTImproving quality, efficiency and production costsWorking with suppliers and subcontract manufacturersSupporting and providing first-line supervision to the manufacturing teamThey’re looking for someone with a Production/Manufacturing Engineering background, ideally with experience in an electronics manufacturing environment. NPI experience, Lean/Six Sigma and exposure to ERP systems would also be useful.
