Senior Program Financial Analyst

We are partnering with a leading organization looking for an experienced Senior Program Financial Analyst to support complex, high-visibility programs within a government contracting environment.This position will play an integral role in program financial management, with responsibility for financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and Earned Value Management (EVM) across multiple programs. The Senior Program Financial Analyst will work closely with program leadership, Control Account Managers (CAMs), Finance, Contracts, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to monitor program performance, maintain accurate financial data, identify and explain variances, and support informed business decisions.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Earned Value Management, COBRA, and SAP, along with a solid understanding of program finance and government contracting. This is a senior-level individual contributor role requiring the ability to manage complex assignments independently while also serving as a resource to more junior team members.Key ResponsibilitiesManage financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities for multiple complex programsMaintain the integrity and accuracy of Earned Value Management (EVM) data utilizing COBRA and SAPDevelop and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts related to program performance, profitability, and cash flowPerform detailed variance analysis against financial plans, budgets, and established program baselinesDevelop, maintain, and analyze Estimates at Completion (EACs) and ensure accuracy across assigned programsCreate, maintain, and update projects and associated financial information within SAPEstablish and maintain program baseline budgets for performance measurementPartner with Control Account Managers (CAMs) to prepare, analyze, and review cost and schedule variancesSupport the preparation of Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) deliverables and other required program reportingMonitor program financial performance and identify trends, risks, and areas requiring management attentionPrepare cost estimates and pricing data in support of proposals and other business initiativesSupport financial aspects of program changes, including baseline and change-control activitiesAssist with internal and external audits for assigned programsProvide financial analysis related to funding, contracts, operations, procurement, and program performanceDevelop ad hoc financial analyses and reporting for program and senior leadership as neededRecommend improvements to financial processes, reporting, and controlsWork independently with limited supervision while providing guidance and mentorship to junior team membersRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Science, or a related analytical disciplineMinimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience with a bachelor's degree, or 4+ years with a relevant graduate degree; significant directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeDemonstrated experience working with Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts, processes, and reportingHands-on experience with COBRA and SAPStrong experience with program financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, EAC development, and variance analysisAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong overall Microsoft Office skillsExperience working with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), cost estimating, change management, risk management, and financial performance measurementAbility to analyze complex financial and program data and communicate findings effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholdersStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively across Finance, Program Management, Contracts, Operations, Procurement, and other functional areasAbility to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearanceAdditional Experience DesiredExperience or familiarity with at least some of the following is highly desirable:Government and/or Department of Defense contracting environmentsANSI/EIA-748 Earned Value Management standardsDefense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)EVMIG and NDIA Earned Value Management guidanceGovernment contract funding profiles and financial requirementsProgram sales outlook and financial variance analysisContract types including CPAF, CPFF, T&M, and FFPProposal development, cost estimating, and pricingFinancial management of large, complex, or highly visible programsPreferred QualificationsMBA, CPA, or other relevant advanced degreePMP, EVMP, or comparable professional certificationPrevious participation in a finance, program management, or leadership development programExperience providing financial leadership for major programs or portfoliosThis opportunity is well suited for an experienced program finance professional who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, program management, and operational performance and can bring both strong analytical capabilities and sound business judgment to a complex program environment.No sponsorship available for this role.
