Senior Project Accountant - EPC & Constructions Industry

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Accountant to manage the financial lifecycle of EPC projects from contract award to project close-out. The role requires close collaboration with Project Managers, Procurement, Commercial, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure accurate project accounting, cost control, forecasting, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesReview project contracts, commercial terms, payment milestones, retention, and variation orders. Set up project budgets, cost codes, WBS, and project financial structures in the ERP. Monitor project budgets, committed costs, actual costs, ETC, EAC, and profitability. Prepare monthly Project Progress Reviews (PPRs), cost reports, revenue, margin, and cash flow forecasts. Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS 15. Track project invoicing, collections, receivables, subcontractor payments, and supplier commitments. Monitor project cash flow, working capital, and funding requirements. Maintain project KPIs, risk registers, change orders, and variation order logs. Perform variance analysis and provide financial insights to Project Managers and Management. Support month-end closing, accruals, WIP accounting, project reconciliations, and project close-out. QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA, or CIMA) is an advantage. 3–5 years of project accounting experience in EPC, Oil & Gas, Construction, Marine Engineering, or Industrial Projects. Strong knowledge of IFRS 15, project costing, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, IFS, Odoo, or similar). Advanced Excel skills; Power BI knowledge is a plus. Key Skills• Project Accounting & Cost Control • Budgeting & Forecasting • Project Financial Reporting • Revenue Recognition (IFRS 15) • Cash Flow & Working Capital Management • Contract & Commercial Accounting • Procurement & Subcontract Cost Control • Change Orders & Variation Management • ERP Systems & Advanced Excel If you are a results-driven finance professional with strong EPC project accounting experience and a passion for driving project profitability, we encourage you to apply and become part of our growing team.
