Senior Project Buyer (EPC Energy Projects) – Abu Dhabi BranchAre you an autonomous Procurement professional with deep experience purchasing complex engineering packages for major EPC projects? Arkad is expanding its operations for a strategic, local EPC project in the Abu Dhabi area. We are looking for a high-caliber Senior Project Buyer to join our team under an Abu Dhabi contractual framework.Note: This position focuses strictly on full-autonomy procurement, commercial negotiations, and package delivery for the assigned project, rather than departmental line management or training.Key Responsibilities and Duties:End-to-End Procurement Ownership: Manage, in full autonomy, the complete procurement process to purchase materials and complex packages within the budget and time schedule indicated by the Project Manager, ensuring strict compliance with Company policy.Vendor List & RFQs: Collaborate in defining the project vendor list. Issue comprehensive Requests for Quotation (RfQ) containing detailed technical specifications, general/specific purchasing conditions, and strict presentation deadlines.Tender Management & Tabulation: Follow up with potential suppliers during the tender preparation phase, guaranteeing strict secrecy. Own the correctness of commercial tabulations, bid comparisons, and the entire evaluation process leading up to the final Purchase Order (PO) issue.Commercial Negotiation: Prepare and conduct commercial negotiations. Verify the integration of applicable technical specifications and ensure detailed economic data provided during the bidding phase is fully consistent with the final contract.PO Administration & Traceability: Verify vendor acceptance of issued POs, notify unsuccessful bidders, and track subsequent order revisions. Ensure meticulous archiving of contractual documents for full purchasing process traceability.Commercial Conditions: Draw up commercial conditions based initially on company standard contracts, stipulate purchasing conditions, and verify that POs are formally correct.Site & Vendor Support: Assist the vendor qualification process with cross-functional teams to expand the approved Company Vendor list. Support the site construction team in managing and administering active POs.Commodity Sourcing: Actively scout new suppliers and manage the procurement process to award strategic frame agreements on specific commodities.Your Profile:Experience: Proven, long-standing experience in purchasing highly complex EPC items, including rotating machinery, static packages, pressure vessels, instrumentation, and automation systems.Negotiation & Commercial Acumen: Exceptional commercial negotiation skills and deep knowledge of contracting/purchasing conditions.Mindset: Highly analytical, result-oriented, and collaborative with a pro-active, flexible attitude.
