Senior Project Engineer

We are looking for an experienced ‘Project Manager’ for Construction to take full responsibility for the planning, execution, coordination and successful completion of assigned construction projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, to the required quality standards and in compliance with HSE and contractual requirements. The successful candidate will coordinate closely with consultants, clients, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the successful execution of assigned construction projects.
• Develop project execution plans, schedules, manpower plans and resource requirements.
• Identify potential delays and develop recovery plans where required.
• Monitor project expenditure against the approved budget and review subcontractor and supplier costs and ensure compliance with approved budgets.
• Act as the primary project-level point of contact for clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate with design, engineering and technical teams to ensure timely availability of approved drawings and technical information.
• Ensure site execution is in accordance with approved designs and specifications.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
• Coordinate daily site activities with construction engineers, supervisors and site teams.
• Ensure construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Work with the QA/QC team to maintain project quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and Dubai regulatory requirements.
• Participate in safety meetings, inspections and incident investigations and take immediate corrective action where unsafe practices are identified.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning and snagging activities.
• Ensure timely closure of project snags and outstanding works.
• Coordinate preparation of handover documentation.
• Ensure successful client handover and project close-out.
• Support final account and contractual close-out activities. Qualifications and requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related engineering discipline.
• Professional certifications in project management or construction will be an advantage.Experience:
• 8 to 10 years of construction project experience, preferably within the Dubai/GCC.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a Project Manager role.
• Proven experience managing construction projects from commencement through completion and handover.
