OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Project Engineer with strong and proven expertise in Lutron Lighting Control, Hospitality and Automation solutions.The ideal candidate must be a strong Lutron specialist, with extensive hands-on experience covering solution design, product selection, engineering, programming, system integration, testing & commissioning, troubleshooting, estimation and technical documentation.The candidate should be capable of independently taking technical ownership of Lutron projects from design and BOQ development through programming, commissioning, client demonstration and final handover.Experience with Honeywell INNCOM/GRMS, Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC/FCU controls and third-party integrations will be considered an additional advantage; however, strong hands-on Lutron expertise is the primary requirement for this position.Key Responsibilities & Lutron ExpertiseStrong hands-on experience with Lutron Lighting Control and Hospitality solutions, including relevant platforms such as myRoom/myRoom XC, Athena, HomeWorks/HomeWorks QS and Quantum.Good product and application knowledge of Lutron processors, controllers, DIN-rail modules, Palladiom keypads and thermostats, sensors, interfaces and Sivoia QS shading solutions.Design and engineer complete Lutron solutions based on project specifications, drawings and customer requirements.Independently perform Lutron programming, configuration, addressing, startup, testing, commissioning, diagnostics, optimization and advanced troubleshooting.Strong understanding of DALI/DALI-2, 0-10V control, phase dimming, switching, lighting scenes, scheduling, occupancy/daylight control and shading integration.Develop lighting control philosophies, sequences and automation logic based on project requirements.Review project specifications, IFC drawings, lighting layouts, load schedules and Sequence of Operations (SOO).Prepare Lutron system architecture, BOQ/BOM, quantity take-offs, equipment selection, load/channel calculations, estimation and technical proposals.Support technical and commercial teams with solution design, value engineering, product selection and cost optimization.Prepare/review shop drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, riser diagrams, technical submittals, compliance statements, method statements, T&C documentation, O&M manuals and as-built documentation.Conduct Lutron mock-ups, system demonstrations, technical workshops, consultant/client presentations and end-user training.Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, OEMs, IT teams and third-party system vendors.Take complete technical ownership of assigned projects from engineering through successful commissioning and handover.GRMS, HVAC & BAS IntegrationExperience with Lutron myRoom/myRoom XC hospitality applications and guestroom control sequences is highly preferred.Experience with Honeywell INNCOM/GRMS or other hospitality room-control platforms will be an advantage.Good understanding of HVAC/FCU controls, including 2-pipe/4-pipe FCUs, EC/multi-speed fans, 0–10V control, valves, actuators and thermostats.Understanding of guestroom operating modes including Occupied/Unoccupied, Welcome, Comfort, Sleep, Energy Saving, DND/MUR and setback sequences.Good application knowledge of occupancy/presence, temperature, humidity, CO₂, daylight/lux, door/window and other environmental sensors.Strong understanding of integration with BMS/BAS, PMS, HVAC, AV, IPTV, Access Control, hotel door locks, curtains/blinds and other third-party systems.Integration, API & Networking KnowledgeWorking knowledge of BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, DALI/DALI-2, Modbus, RS-485, MQTT, Zigbee , BLE , Matter and TCP/IP.Good understanding of REST APIs, web services, API-based integrations and data exchange between third-party systems.Working understanding of SQL and database concepts for integration, diagnostics and troubleshooting.Good understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, Ethernet and network troubleshooting.Ability to coordinate with IT/network teams for VLAN configuration, IP requirements, firewall/port requirements and system connectivity.Ability to diagnose integration issues across lighting control, GRMS, BAS and third-party systems.Testing, Commissioning & Customer EngagementIndependently carry out point-to-point testing, functional testing, integration testing and final commissioning.Troubleshoot hardware, software, field wiring, network and integration-related issues.Manage mock-up rooms and proof-of-concept demonstrations.Conduct professional Lutron system demonstrations and technical workshops.Understand customer requirements and translate them into practical and technically compliant solutions.Confidently present solutions to clients, consultants, architects, hotel operators, contractors and end users.Conduct system training and support final project handover.Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.Minimum 6-7 years of relevant industry experience.Strong hands-on Lutron experience - Mandatory.Proven experience in Lutron solution design, programming, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting – Mandatory.Experience with Lutron myRoom/myRoom XC and hospitality applications will be highly preferred.Lutron training/certification will be a strong advantage.Experience in luxury hospitality, high-end residential and commercial projects.Honeywell INNCOM/GRMS and BAS experience will be an additional advantage.Strong solution design, estimation, BOQ/BOM preparation and technical documentation capabilities.Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and spoken English, with strong presentation and customer-facing communication skills.Ability to work independently and take technical ownership of multiple projects.Flexible to support site activities, mock-ups, demonstrations, workshops, testing and commissioning as required.Valid UAE Driving License -Mandatory.Ideal CandidateWe are specifically looking for a genuine hands-on Lutron specialist, not a general automation engineer with limited exposure to Lutron.The successful
